"Daddy" started as a tongue-in-cheek riff on how society overreacts to queer love and playful role-play, always looking for something to “fix” or fear. For me, the real story is about refusing to apologize for joy, connection, or humor that doesn’t fit someone else’s comfort zone. The song is a shield and a dare—a way of saying, “This is me, take it or leave it.” In a world where even laughter gets policed, sometimes the bravest thing you can do is laugh louder.
