this mix is the first of eights that have been used in a clinical setting by SABI Mind for over three years now. it has also been used by close friends and myself, many times over too ..over and over, as it was carefully designed for repeat use. to entrain to. to reach for as a reliable tool. for the purposes of meditation, clearing, unwinding, calming, relaxing, deepening, inner explorations & journeys, grounding, centering, focusing, resting, drifting, quieting, sleeping, transforming, transporting, healing and other related purposes.

it stands on it's own as a contemporary ambient mix and also fully functions in the sound wellness realms. it keeps the promise of holding space for the listener the entire time, without any blips or trips or artful overly expressive side-quests, just slowly and reliably modulating and evolving and unfolding.

it's called classic abstractions because, it being the first mix in the series, we start at the beginning and honour the foundations and feelings of classic ambient music ..as we also abstract from them (staying present in the now, not just in the past). many thanks and acknowledgements to the absolutely perfectly executed music made by all the artist's in the mix - a decent handful of them being local as well.

AJ Rosales is a guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, and producer that is about to release his sixth album entitled "Phasedrift". The first single "Thunderclouds" will be released on Feb 14th, 2025. He has previously made waves with the progressive, heady, and supremely catchy statements "If Not Today" and  "Disengage" from his lauded  2021 album "Manifestations". The collection of songs on Phasedrift will be a slight departure from his other releases - in that way he found he was  "drifting out of phase" with his previous self. The live performances of these forthcoming tunes have been eliciting true enthusiasm from a diverse fanbase, and opening opportunities. His previous releases: Manifestations, Ultramarine, Resistor, the Earth and Shoal EP, and Daughter Product (Fatigue) have all separately garnered college and mainstream radio airplay and have impressed critics, leading to performances in many parts of the US. His authentic and individualistic approach to songwriting leads him down many paths, some more progressive than others, but his focus on melodic and intricate textures makes his songs accessible to a wide audience. Where different races, different cultures, different religions come across. In this small house there is no room for discrimination and everyone is welcome. In this place, elements that characterize nations and cultures are mingled and every traveler tries to initiate us to the secrets of his homeland. 
For us the way of expression is music, it is all these sounds that every traveler presents to us, thus creates a set of sounds that it's goal is to travel us to these places and challenge us to explore them, which goal it's to stimulate the mind and the body and to awaken unprecedented senses.
