Fun Facts:
My Own Way features a lot of flange from the Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress.
It is a song George wrote about a previous relationship that had ended.
When George's new girlfriend found the lyrics, she was grumpy.
My Own Way was never performed by a band and remained unheard until its release on SoundCloud.

Band of Georges: My Own Way

(This track is a demo where both the vocal and beat are recorded through my iPhone mic) First half of this track I wrote while struggling with drinking for a few months. Second half was finished the literal next day I came out of a mental hospital finally prescribed for MDD/Anxiety. There is 0 shame in struggling with depression/anxiety/addiction. Yes, it's fun to dive deeper into numbing yourself, but it never ends well. It's okay to accept that you might have a form of mental health issue. No one is better or worse because of that- and fuck you if you think you're above anyone struggling with their mental health. Therapy is very real, go find some. Not every solution is going to be the exact right answer, be willing to try different things. Love all, and thank you for listening/reading. Help others, please reach out to any resource or friends and family you have if you are struggling.

Formerly best known as 12-year lead singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist of STL-based indie rock band We Should Leave This Tree, Tommy Quiros met Night Bass legends AC Slater and MPH one year ago in Chicago and taught himself how to DJ six days later.

Throughout the following year he went on to play over 30 live DJ sets around the St Louis area, most notably at Hot Java Bar, Tim's Chrome Bar, Chapter 3 In Soulard, Mississippi Underground, and GroveFest STL.

Quick to establish his presence in the St Louis dance music community, Tommy Quiros stands out in the vast sea of EDM DJs as he becomes known more and more for his explosive stage presence, big energy, and track selection brimming with the vibrant blend of musical styles that is uniquely his sound.

In celebration of his comeback as an artist, Tommy Quiros hosted his first event in electronic dance music this spring on Friday night May 16th, 2025 with his partner, Lil Artista. It was a truly epic night of bass house, tech house, melodic house, jungle, and UKG, with an absolutely stacked lineup featuring 8 live DJ sets, four vendors, live painting, and open decks.

My musical journey started back in the late 90's, i was flat out into trance, spinning vinyl and burning up the wheels of steel. I spent my mid to late twenties in London when funky house music was alive and thumping. I got to play at some wicked bars and sweat dripping house parties with some incredible people. Now days, it's spinning tunes across multiple genres. Whilst trance is still right up there, I've spread my wings into progressive trance, tech house, techno, jive / disco / funky / groove / progressive house.  Love a dark dirty solid bass beat ranging between 120bpm through to 145bpm. That's the sweet spot 🤙Now living in New Zealand and always up for a gig with like minded people!

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
