[Happy Fourth of July special even though I don’t celebrate that holiday] Cascading abyss (Deltarune: the Otheresque puppet.)

The theme of Rhular K. from "DELTASWAP: Episode 1," the follow-up to Jamie Bear's indie hit "pasteldaw."

To access the hidden boss fight, you must find his "study" within the Patchwork Bazaar area. He will then ask you to find three trinkets that you'll need to solve his "puzzle" and to backtrack to Scoops. After returning to Scoops' shop, he'll give you the first trinket and hints on the other two. Once you have all three, return to Rhular K.'s study to initiate the fight.

Rhular K. is the most difficult enemy in the game, as while his attack patterns are fairly simple, he will implement special "rules" that the player must follow.

Ivr: hm. well, if everyone thinks my hands have that cat maid's blood...
Ivr: then why not show them what that REALLY looks like?
Vi: You're not going to...

Vi: Your magic, and, and-
[ Ivory pulls out her scythes. ]
Vi: Wait, wait, wait, wait!
Ivr: it's the only way.
Ivr: if a criminal is what they want...

Vi essentially got forced into serving the ruler of the Study Dark World, and as the heroes get to the end of the Archives (the Scarlet Forest), things start to go horribly, horribly wrong.
Ivory, still not seeing the Dark Worlds as entirely real and already being in an unstable mental state, finally snaps under the pressure. 
Things won't go well from here on out.

With whitepine 7's thumbnail this will either age like milk or like wine in one day, because i made the song and thumbnail long before it LOL
(it aged like both tbh)

yes that's Ivory projecting here. kind of.

Ivory uses blood magic. This is a pre-episode 7 concept, mind you (where she is covered in the stuff) but it's very fitting thematically nonetheless. Said blood magic goes absolutely haywire if she suffers intense emotions, like what we see here. It's also cast from hitpoints, so her HP slowly decreases as the fight goes on regardless of if you get hit or not by Vi's attacks.
Serapter's soul (which is star-shaped, obviously), meanwhile, is somewhat tied to what he sees, hears and feels in general (Serapter thinks of the player as more a helpful guide and advisor than a terrifying eldritch puppeteer, which means Chapter 4 will be handled quite interestingly, stay tuned for that. And also stay tuned for the weird route stuff) so he sees Ivory lashing out like this. It's not pretty.
