Phoenix Sunday Evening Party - Journey Through Forms of Desire

Chill late night vibes on Saturday at the 2022 Canaries Zouk Bachata Festival. Joint SBKZ venue, I had to play Zouk / Kizomba and share the DJ booth with the Salsa / Bachata DJ. Then at 3am or 4am I found myself alone, with only zouk dancers left. I took advantage of the time to mix a full zouk chill set, not knowing when or if they'd kick me out. I put out each song, not knowing whether it would be the last.

I believe in strong song selection and carefully create smooth transitions for dancers. I started DJing in 2010 for lindy hop in Las Vegas and expanded to blues, fusion, west coast swing, and lastly Brazilian zouk. I use the name Songsiree (my Apache name) for music production, usually Brazilian Zouk remixes and original songs.
