this one was recorded on the way to the shed to see punchdrunk's viola's room! i have not been to hudson yards in a long time and that...sure is a place! also stopped by chris kindred aka actuator's transorbital open decks event at purgatory bk and that was fantastic! this mix is me getting back into it after mostly playing a bunch of open decks events over the last month and ALSO realizing that...i kind of like slower sets now? a few friends of mine have called them "chuggy" sets so here's some chuggy stuff

(definitely forgot about the tempo change in the manni dee track so forgive the fadeout/fadein near the end of the mix)

I had the honour of warming up the Hagglers Corner courtyard (14:00-16:00) for the August Sunday Bank Holiday (24 Aug 2025) edition of Latent Desires x Bassfreight. Thoroughly enjoyed staying within the confines of 110-125BPM, getting to play a lot of beautiful sounds that I've not had the opportunity to share before. I had so much fun with this one. Hope you enjoy. X

Anomalous DJ is the alias of Antony Price & Sam Kingfisher aka SK, co-founders of Anomalous, a creative studio, event space and sound system.

Whilst having primarily focused much of their careers on audio visual production and nightlife documentation, Antony has consistently maintained DJ residencies and guest slots in London since the mid 90’s. His archivist approach to both music and club culture photography providing him an artistic form of narrative self-expression.  

As Anomalous they create bespoke and dynamic gatherings that encourage meaningful interaction and connection through dance, well-being and active listening. Cultivating a model of exchange and support, they use collaboration as a form of resistance to systemic norms, with the Anomalous Sound System challenging conventional spaces of communal gathering to follow in the ethos of free party culture.
