Char speaks to filmmaker Christopher Auchter about his upcoming documentary called "The Stand", debuting at VIFF on October 3rd, 2024. The film follows the Haida People in the early 1980s as they stand up to government and local logging companies in order to protect Lyell Island from being destroyed by industry.

Char had the chance to chat with Dr. Jules Koostachin about her upcoming film "Angela's Shadow", set to debut at VIFF this evening (Wed, Oct. 3rd, 2024). This fictional film follows a young pregnant Cree woman who's haunted by the ghost of her twin sister. The period piece is not only spooky, but also has a historical element, dealing with heavy topics like residential school and colonization.

Char interviews Justice Moore, one of the main subjects in the "Tea Creek" documentary, streaming October 10th, 2024 on CBC Gem. Justice discusses the importance of the film, and how working at the Tea Creek Farm has made a positive impact on his own life.
