Char speaks to filmmaker Christopher Auchter about his upcoming documentary called "The Stand", debuting at VIFF on October 3rd, 2024. The film follows the Haida People in the early 1980s as they stand up to government and local logging companies in order to protect Lyell Island from being destroyed by industry.

Char had the chance to chat with Dr. Jules Koostachin about her upcoming film "Angela's Shadow", set to debut at VIFF this evening (Wed, Oct. 3rd, 2024). This fictional film follows a young pregnant Cree woman who's haunted by the ghost of her twin sister. The period piece is not only spooky, but also has a historical element, dealing with heavy topics like residential school and colonization.

Char interviews Justice Moore, one of the main subjects in the "Tea Creek" documentary, streaming October 10th, 2024 on CBC Gem. Justice discusses the importance of the film, and how working at the Tea Creek Farm has made a positive impact on his own life.

Jeff Bear sits down with Char to talk about the debut of Petroglyphs to Pixels season 2, debuting on APTN, January 6th, 2025. Filmed entirely in Haida Gwaii, this new season focuses on artists both young and old, highlighting the old and new ways of expressing the art and traditions of the Haida People.

Dene Storyteller, Richard Van Camp, joins Char to talk about the story behind the film "Inkwo For When the Starving Return", which is making its debut at the 2025 Sundance International Film Festival this week. This stop-motion animated short features the voices of Tantoo Cardinal, Paulina Alexis and Art Napoleon, and was directed by Amanda Strong.
