Bobby Messano has been writing and playing Blues music for over forty years. He is a multi-award-winning Contemporary Blues artist who garnered a Billboard Blues Chart #1 in 2015.  Even though he is considered a Blues-Rock artist, he has always paid reverence to the Masters that came before him; Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Freddie, BB and Albert King, Big Bill Broonzy and Otis Rush. Acoustic Transitions Volume 1 is Bobby’s nod to the traditional Blues songs that he loves, and should never be forgotten, mixed with new versions of his own traditional Blues writings.

 Reading “Of Myth and Memento Mori” on a rainy September afternoon, I was transported to Halloween. I could smell autumn as I walked the haunted trails of a pumpkin farm, feel my hands grow warmer as they held a steaming cup of hot chocolate, and see the mist and the secrets it held. Enchanted by these things, and the naturally smooth storytelling, I knew this was a book for Fika, and my Halloween pick for 2024. 

We’ll also be looking into one of Victoria’s series “The Binding Universe.”  There are many more.

They come in the night, searching for the one that wronged them.Lenore waits all year for Halloween to descend on the small Appalachian town of Hiraeth Hollow. A mortician and the town’s only professional pumpkin carver, Lenore spends her autumn weekends carving gruesome scenes in gourds while sipping hot beverages at the local Halloween attraction.


This year, something has changed. A knocking echoes through the trees, a strange man appears and disappears before Lenore’s eyes, and mysterious deliveries arrive on her doorstep. Then, the attacks begin.

Bobby Messano is a legendary guitarist and contemporary blues artist who has released seven solo CDs, placed songs in many TV and cable shows and played on over 50 major label and indie albums. His music has been heard on everything from MTV jingles to Benny Mardones' smash hit, "Into The Night". The celebrated guitarist has played on records by Clarence Clemmons, Franke & The Knockouts, Joe Lynn Turner, and STARZ. His CD's are heard daily on "Sirius/XM's B.B. King's Bluesville." His 2015 album, Love & Money, was nominated for a prestigious Blues Blast Award for "Best Rock-Blues Album" in August 2015. It debuted on the Billboard Blues Chart at #7, peaked at #1, and spent a total of nine weeks in the Top 10. It was also #7 on the Billboard Heat Seekers Chart and Top 40 on both the Billboard Rock and Indie Charts. Love & Money also ended 2015 at #44 on the Roots Music Report Chart.

     Bobby's follow up album, BAD MOVIE was released on April 15, 2017 and debuted at #1 on Sirius/XM BB King's Bluesville and has been in the Top 20 on SIX Roots Music Reports charts since it's release. It is a collection of 15 incredible songs written with major co-writers Jon Tiven, Larry Weiss, and Steve Kalinich, and features the amazing "Come To Your Senses" written by Queen founder Brian May and Jon Tiven, and the haunting duet "Water Under The Bridge" with Bobby and Alecia Elliott (2001 AMA Nominee). BAD MOVIE was a unique perspective of personal traumas and a country in a state of flux and the reviews have been outstanding.

     For Lemonade, Messano's ninth studio album, Bobby joined forces with Bob Malone (John Fogerty), Doug Belote (Eric Clapton), and Carl Dufrene, JR (North Mississippi Allstars). The album was inspired by trying to balance personal relations in a complicated, ever-changing industry. Lemonade will be released on July 12th, 2019 via Fishhead Records.

THE SONGS I NEVER SANG (THE COVID SESSIONS) releases on January 29th on all digital platforms. The Project is a labor of love for Bobby. It is a collection of 11 songs that he has loved in his life but never recorded.
