The Pop Culture Week in Review - June 30th, 2023

Si intitola “Calvino immaginario” la mostra inaugurata il 20 settembre all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Bucarest, nel centenario della nascita del grande scrittore, frutto della collaborazione tra il Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale e di COMICON. Fino all’8 ottobre, il pubblico potrà scoprire una selezione di testi e disegni dedicati da Calvino al fumetto, corredata da illustrazioni di Sergio Tofano e Tullio Pericoli, una galleria di disegni e sequenze estratte da graphic novel direttamente ispirati a celebri opere calviniane, firmate da maestri quali Dino Battaglia o Davide Toffolo, e con inediti sketch di Lorenzo Mattotti, come anche illustrazioni inedite di Sara Colaone, Vittorio Giardino, Igort, Lorenzo Mattotti e brevi fumetti di sette pagine di Lorena Canottiere, Daniel Cuello, Lorenzo Mò, Pietro Scarnera. 
Si tratta, quindi, sia di cose passate già su Calvino, che di fumetti inediti, commissionati a giovani autori italiani, ha spiegato a Radio Romania Internazionale alino, uno dei curatori della mostra, presente all’inaugurazione, parlando anche della collaborazione tra il MAECI e il COMICON, nato a Napoli nel 1998 per offrire un festival dedicato al Fumetto e alla cultura pop. “La mostra si colloca in una serie di eventi che il MAECI ha predisposto per celebrare alla meglio il centenario di Calvino”, ha detto, da parte sua, a Radio Romania Internazionale la direttrice dell’Istituto Italiano di Bucarest, Laura Napolitano, ricordando anche le conferenze organizzate in collaborazione con il Laboratorio Calvino. Infatti, l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Bucarest ospiterà un incontro del genere a novembre, con Fabio Gambaro, autore del libro “Lo scoiattolo sulla Senna. L'avventura di Calvino a Parigi”. Prima di arrivare a Bucarest, “Calvino immaginario” era stato presentato ad Atene, e dalla capitale romena sarà portato a Parigi, spiega ancora Laura Napolitano, ricordando che, nella Capitale romena, la mostra si chiuderà con un concerto di jazz, in programma il 7 ottobre.

"Arsil Asmade"
Asmade- Improved Freestyle's, as it is.

The Name "Arsilienth Asmade" was born, when I realized I wouldn't have time to write or to produce under the circumstances I faced. So there was no choice but to freestyle and work with what I have.

I discovered Hip/Hop and Rap in my teens. Never expected it either! What happened was, a friend randomly called me and asked, if I was interested in joining his "Nerdcore" rap crew. The crew was created to make rap music that was supposed to be about video games. After the call, I became interested in writing poetry and rap.

My interest in rap eventually, lead to me recording on a "Rock Band" Microphone. And eventually lead to me attending, "Full Sail University". I wanted to create my own instrumentals, to match me, like a custom made tailored suit. I also wanted to gain the skills in technical, to bend and shape my art, like thee elements. So I earned my associates in Audio Engineering (2013-2015).

The majority of my music was made through my struggles. I recorded with what I had, or have. Witch for example was Macs built in mic, down to phone microphones. 

If any of my art contains slander. Forgive me. I pretty much dont like it. Right about when, Covid-19 started, I was emotionally out of order and faced "Nomadic Homelessness". So I lacked emotional discipline upon my travels and made what I can.

Hinter dem Podcast "Frei Schnauze" stehen Jeanette und Michaela, die hier regelmässig über alles Mögliche reden, das uns gerade bewegt und was zwischen den einzelnen Sendungen so passiert ist.
