Hailing from Detroit’s 8 Mile and Gratiot area, theluckyleft is a boundary-pushing producer, remixer, DJ, and beatmaker whose sound blends soul, hip-hop, house, R&B, and future funk into one seamless, genre-fluid experience.

Detroit raised him—crate-digging through dusty vinyl, soaking up game at local record shops, and crossing paths early on with hometown legends like J Dilla, HouseShoes, Black Milk, Elzhi, Mr. Porter, Guilty Simpson, Dwele, and Fat Ray. His time at Vintage King Audio sharpened his ear and deepened his appreciation for the art of sound.

Now based in Florida, that heat and sunshine have added warmth and color to his sonic palette. What began with raw hip-hop has evolved into something richer—lush chords, soulful grooves, ambient textures, and emotion you can feel in your chest. His tracks move bodies and stir minds, built on feel, flavor, and fearless experimentation.

With a style that lives between a dusty MPC and a velvet stage, theluckyleft creates sonic journeys for both headphones and hardwood floors. He’s especially drawn to working with artists who blur genre lines and bring real musicality to the table—think Anderson .Paak, Lucky Daye, and others who push the edges while keeping the soul intact.

This isn’t just production—it’s storytelling through sound.
