THINK OF A RIVER (as something powerful): a flowform meditation (in geometric time)

I wrote letters to ghosts that I never sent,
Held the weight in my hands ‘til the page got bent.
Had a dream I was heard but the room stayed still,
So I learned how to speak without hope to fill.

I was raised by a time that forgot my name,
Where the light only came when I hid my flame.
They said "be strong" but they meant "be numb,"
So I smiled through the ache just to feel like one.

Every hallway I paced had a voice I feared,
Echoed back all the truths that I never cleared.
I was twelve with a jaw that could bite through steel,
But my heart stayed soft just to know what’s real.

I ain’t lie when I said I could feel their shift,
Watched a hug turn cold when the mask would lift.
Saw a friend turn foe for a glimpse of clout,
Now I trust in the silence when the words run out.

Had a home that looked good from a photo frame,
But the love didn’t stretch past the guilt and shame.
Used to pray for a break in the roof that leaked,
Now I sit with the rain like it's mine to keep.

Seen days turn to weeks with no end in sight,
But the dark felt calm when you lose the fight.
So I held to the cracks in my own design,
Built a voice from the pain I refused to mime.

I remember the girl who believed too much,
Said her soul was a wound that forgot to trust.
She would cry through the night with a soft “I’m fine,”
And I wished I could fix what was never mine.

Had a brother in chains that were made from fear,
Every smile that he wore wasn’t close to clear.
Used to fight just to feel he was worth a breath,
Now his silence hit harder than the talk of death.

I don’t beg for the love that don’t know my shape,
I don’t run from the truth when it bends and breaks.
I just sit with the weight ‘til the form comes back,
Like a storm that remembers the sky it cracked.

Every wound that I nursed had a deeper song,
And the chords only played when I held too long.
So I cut what I could and I burned what stayed,
Now I live in the lines that the fire made.

I been told I’m too deep for a world this fast,
But the ones who slow down always make it last.
I don’t need to be loud just to make my mark,
I just plant what I know in the quiet dark.
