Thema

Survivor is a personal and cinematic journey through struggle, resistance, and resilience. With contemporary classical and experimental influences, the album reflects the emotional landscape of a soul facing hardship, migration, and transformation. Each track unfolds like a scene in a larger narrative — where sound, silence, and space evoke pain, perseverance, and hope.

Faixa em áudio gravada em Maio de 2025 no Estúdio do Compositor, utilizando Harpa Grega acústica e sons eletrônicos. O sistema usado foi o híbrido: Temperado e Não Temperado simultaneamente, então o ouvinte poderá estranhar determinados momentos de encontro da afinação da Harpa junto às cordas. No final, mais um experimento de Andersen VIANA

Audio track recorded in May 2025 at the Composer's Studio, using acoustic Greek Harp and electronic sounds. The system used was a hybrid: Tempered and Untempered simultaneously, so the listener may be surprised at certain moments when the Harp's tuning meets the strings. In the end, yet another experiment by Andersen VIANA

The Greek composer Orestis Toufektsis (born 1966 in Tashkent/Uzbekistan) lives and works in Austria.

His compositional work is characterised above all by a specific formal thinking that increasingly questions the usual musical dramaturgy. While he incorporates non-musical sources of inspiration in the creation of morphological and rhythmic structures (self-similarity, combinatorics, graphic arts) and sometimes drastically limits the possibilities of processing his sonic material to a few selected methods, at the same time he follows very different compositional approaches in terms of form, pitch structure and harmony from work to work. The oeuvre thus includes 40-minute works for solo instruments (echochronoi) alongside 7-minute works for chamber ensemble (maskalda) and works whose harmony is derived exclusively from 3 finely tuned tetrachords (string quartet hommage á Machaut) alongside works with highly complex harmonic structures (timescales 4 for ensemble and piano automaton).

Composer Yunfei Li is currently pursuing a DMA in Music Composition at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. She recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master of Music in Composition. She received Bachelor of Arts degree at the Central Conservatory of Music. Yunfei’s composition includes acoustic music (from chamber ensemble to large orchestra), electroacoustic music, and multimedia music. Her music has been played by the Red Clay Saxophone quartet, Donimo Ensemble, Quintet Sirocco, Duo Entre-nous, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and percussionist Anders Åstrand. She has won a composition prize from MUSICACOUSTICA-Beijing International Electronic Music Composition Competition in 2015. She has also received an award from the Denver International Electronic Music Composition Competition in 2018. Her music has been featured by News & Record in North Carolina.
