You once lived in chains,
A slave full of pride.
You murdered and stole,
With a sword at your side.
No man dared to fight you,
All feared the sight of you 
O fierce one.

You stared at the sun,
And cried out in pain:
“If you are the Lord,
Then make yourself plain!
But if there’s another,
O God, show me 
the one true way

You heard of the monks,
