I was at a talk by the great animator Yuri Norstein many years ago and he talked about using the light from factories to read by when his family had no domestic electricity at nighttime.

"LaFournaise" marks the debut of Point of Basalt: a short, minimalist instrumental piece celebrating birth. This track depicts an island's emergence from the deep, where the raw power of the earth meets the delicate essence of life's islets. A hypnotic meditation in three quarter meter on the fusion of elements and the uniting spectres that shape a sonic "native island."

This Post-Rock piece is an ode to the quiet power of defiance. It begins in the profound silence of introspection ("The Deepening Dusk") – where a sense of unease, of growing indifference, slowly gathers force.

Through hypnotic textures and a relentless, building rhythm ("Hypnotic Glide"), a quiet resilience begins to structure itself, transforming internal tension into an undeniable surge.

The climax ("Luminous Currents") is the moment of pure catharsis: a liberating break where the built-up energy finally breaches the surface, bringing forth an exhilarating sense of release and open possibility. It's the sound of a silent uprising, finally finding its voice.

Listen for the strength that builds in stillness. Listen for the liberating breach.

March of Embers (Remixed with Ableton’s “BNYX Boot Kit” Drum Machine) takes Point of Basalt's journey into the heart of urban resilience. This remix reimagines the inexorable march, now powered by the anonymous pulse of the city and the quiet strength of countless individuals.

The track opens with evocative field recordings (sourced from ELPHNT/Tom – a profound thanks for capturing these auditory textures that speak volumes), immersing the listener in a tangible urban atmosphere. From this concrete landscape, the commanding presence of the BNYX Boot Kit (Ableton Live) emerges, its electronic percussion driving the narrative forward. Through meticulous parallel compression, the electronic drums forge a percussive, structured energy, transforming the embers' soft glow into a determined, unstoppable stride.

This version is dedicated to the unsung heroines – the "combattantes" in their everyday lives, igniting an inexorable fire to help us move forward and infuse their life force into the world. Initially inspired by women activists striving for peace and a better society in Yemen, this urban rendition extends its homage to all those who fight against barbarity, both near and far.

While retaining the narrative arc and intense sound design of the original composition, this remix offers a renewed dynamic, fusing the organic with the electronic for a powerful and deeply resonant auditory experience. It's the sound of embers taking on a new, urban glow, carrying a message of courage and persistence.

Kee Ciardo is a  DJ and producer originally from Southern Italy.
Always passionate about music, she began showing herself in public in the first decades of the 2000s.
Shy par excellence! Shyness that vanishes as soon as his hands touch the readers.

He subsequently explored and developed an interest in the search for increasingly electronic sounds, thus becoming skilled in reproducing these rhythms.
Thus he signed various singles collaborating with European and non-European labels.

Her experience as a DJ and producer has led her to make her own MELODIC AND PROGRESSIVE sounds, embracing many vocal styles that occasionally mix with tribal sounds.

Intro:) Lady ElectroTrek is an artist of varying fields... who doesn't feel like she can be crammed into one genre. She creates where she feels the spirit of the moment takes her.../' Lady ElectroTrek has done live choir performances, even had an experience with TV group performance. ElectroTrek has been on radio, different stations--won an award out of Chicago, & received a radio artist plaque for her efforts. ElectroTrek has won group trophy for best in regional singing. ElectroTrek was asked to be a select member of 8 singers called: "The Pantherettes" as a freshman.
ElectroTrek grew up knowing she had a desire to sing, but never anticipated that she would one day take part in a burgeoning exploration of creativity within the instrumental field.
Electrotrek first learned how to play the flute recorder, while attending a private school & studying under a German teacher. Arthur was her teacher, & later saved her life from freezing to death in the snow, when her stepfather 'conveniently' forgot to pick her up & left her there while he was in another town away from where she was going to school & she was left outside until past 8:00 o'clock at night as a middle school child. No cell phones back then, & no money was given her for in case of emergency. The fact that she has survived many abusive encounters, is indeed a miracle in itself.
ElectroTrek has taken flute classes with a popular YouTube teacher from Utah. She has a Sterling flute imported from Australia.
ElectroTrek studied some guitar underneath an aunt of hers who was a Music Major & a music shop owner. Although she never bought instruments from that aunt's shop, due to her relocating over 1500 miles away.
ElectroTrek took piano lessons with a German piano teacher who was very strict to the point that he would hit her hands with a solid wood ruler that had a metal edge & left her hands stinging. Told her that her homework from school was not as important as the piano & demand her to cut her nails off, though they were only moderately grown out. She later switched to a teacher by the last name of Miller, but that proved to only bore & be drawn out to the point of ridiculousness, & only seemed as if paying for lessons but not allowed to progress became evident of being taken advantage of. She then found solace & understanding under her stepfather's brother's wife's teaching.
From there she began to gather tidbits from reaching out to several high-end Professionals & has expanded on trying many new things.
Her life is a story of working against constant odds & mistreatment & she can hold her head with dignity. She has earned her right to be treated as an equal & not cut in half & projected upon by predatory narcissists. Assertiveness is her right to maintaining her boundaries.
ElectroTrek has been involved in many things outside of music as an altruistic activist & rights advocate...& signed many petitions to prevent cruelty & abuse.
An Indian photographer once nominated Lady ElectroTrek for a Nobel Peace Prize on a public forum for her voluntary commitment & diligent work to protect underage models against human trafficking.

FYI: Answer the Q: :D NO I'm NOT a robot! Robots don't wear expensive perfume, have a social security number, have a driver's license issued to them, & have blue, aqua or green veins. Robots do not have menstrual cycles nor experience Amenorrhea--which I have... & do not have one of the rarest eye colors--I do. Robots don't get goosebumps when getting cold. Robots do not get hypothermia--I went on a White Water Rapids trip in Hell's Canyon --My boat flipped over & was suspended in mid air for what seemed like 45 seconds before it capsized. I survived being drug up a steep cliff, with my hips & legs temporarily paralyzed & my lips had turned purple due to lack of oxygen & severe cold in the month of September. So a nurse, the guide & his dad & his daughter saved me from freezing to death. Stripped me down to just my panties & saw my naked natural tits & got me in a sleeping bag & the two women got inside stripped down to generate body heat to revive me. Robots don't go through that--I'm 101% HUMAN. So enough of your needless assumptions & projections. I play Piano, Guitar/Electric guitar, Harmonica, Flute Recorder, Synth, Pan Flute & Drums, I sing, write, compose, won award for a Comic-Con Convention contest for being an all in one package deal>> digital artist, model, music, & concept. etc. Don't hate me because I have times where I can create faster than you. ⁂About love: It is utter nonsense to leave the generalization that if you give love, you get love in return. It is simply NOT true... When I look at abused children who have been entrapped within the confines of circumstances, all the love in the world doesn't STOP the abuser from seeing things in a perspective that will harness his faults he fails to identify.
⁂Some experiments may fail, but if we never tried, then we would not be moved to join on a path of something better...Why should there be shame? ⁂Experience can bring evolutionary changes. (Food for thought:)

Born in the late 70's, I spent my formative years on an island in the Indian Ocean, a melting pot where social and cultural hybridity wasn't just a concept, but the very rhythm of daily life. It was there, in this landscape of contrasts—between the stability of volcanoes and the infinite movement of the ocean—that the foundations of my sonic universe were laid.

From a young age, my first musical education was atmospheric and expansive. Raised on the sonic odysseys of Pink Floyd and the majestic organs of Procol Harum, I developed a deep affinity for the keyboard sounds of the 60s and 70s. This quest for texture found a powerful echo in the monumental synth pads of Jean-Michel Jarre, particularly on an album like Revolutions (1988), which taught me how sound alone can tell a story and build a world. My musical journey began with classical piano, helping me develop a harmonic ear before I turned to the bass, discovering the power of rhythmic foundation.

But an island is also a place of isolation, fertile ground for the fury of adolescence. My discovery of certain music then was brutal and redeeming: the theatrical rock of Alice Cooper, the cathartic heaviness of Obituary, and above all, the shockwave from Seattle. Nirvana's album Nevermind, released in 1991, wasn't just an influence; it became the soundtrack to my high school years, a flash of raw lucidity. It was during this period, as a passionate self-learner, that I picked up the guitar and drums, seeking to replicate and claim that visceral energy for myself.

From this great divide—between the progressive frescoes of my childhood and the raw-nerved dissonance of my adolescence—a central question was born for me: how do opposites coexist? It was in post-rock that I found my ideal refuge. This inherently hybrid genre doesn't force me to choose between the path of sound design, the ethereal keyboard pads in the vein of Pink Floyd, and the raw energy of punk rock. On the contrary, it offers a canvas where these extremes can meet, dialogue, and fuse. This is where hybridity ("métissage") finds its full musical meaning for me, becoming the cornerstone of my approach.

Passionate about the richness and resilience of the human spirit, I place this fusion of opposites at the heart of my music. This is where my project's name, Point of Basalt, reveals its deep meaning. Hybridity, like identity, rests on a fragile, almost unstable equilibrium. The greatest lesson, for me, comes from volcanoes: in the midst of the liquid, chaotic, and unpredictable element, they create platforms of stability. From molten fury, basalt is born—a new, solid, and fertile land that has shaped life for millennia.

My music, Point of Basalt, is that new land. It's a post-rock and ambient exploration where ethereal, reverb-drenched guitars represent the liquid element of memory and emotion. Synth pads lay down an infinite horizon. But from this drift, solid structures always emerge in my work: a propulsive bassline, a relentless crescendo, or a martial rhythm that anchors the chaos. Each track I create is a journey toward that "Point of Basalt": a moment of clarity and peace found not in spite of the whirlwind, but thanks to it. It is the sound map of my mosaic soul, where noise and silence no longer oppose.
