PBR Streetgang is set to lead the this episode of Traxsource LIVE, offering a fresh exploration of sound and selection. Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe are well-loved artists who have performed at some of the biggest festivals and sought after clubs around the globe.

Today the jet-setting masters of production celebrate 20 years of PBR with the self titled album ‘PBR 20’ out on their own label Kurtz Records. The album spans the decades of signature releases the duo is known for but also includes some previously unreleased remixes by Romanthony, Hot Chip and more. Over the past twenty years they have released music on significant labels like Salsoul, Crosstown Rebels, Skint Records, and 2020Vision to name a few.

On today’s show, PBR Streetgang showcase a thoughtfully curated mix including artists like Prins Thomas, Make A Dance, Lauer & Johannes Albert, among others. Enjoy the show!

Citizens Of Vice returns from its summer jaunts with the mini comp ‘“Meraki’ a rather lovely collection of eclectic aural pleasures.  

Meraki is a greek word that does not really translate very well into English. Although hard to define it’s closest meaning would be “When you leave a piece of yourself, your soul, creativity, and love in what you do. To put a little bit of yourself into something”. This quote sums up how all involved feel about this release.

Crooked Man, Mass Density Human, Sons Of Dub, Lanowa, Offshore & Coen and Staccatoman are the talented folks behind the music and all offer something very different.

Kicking off with a killer selection from Roisin Murphy’s amazing Hit Parade remix album, Episode one also features Mildlifes’ stunning rework of album highlight ‘Musica’, while Miguel Migs teams up with the wonderful Ursula Rucker for another outing on Salted. Erol Alkan drops some classic Phantasy Sounds business to finish things off. Best served at loud volumes.

Episode Description:
Charles joins Sean on this episode to discuss Hellboy: The Crooked Man, both the Dark Horse Comic miniseries and the 2024 film adaptation. While the comic is written by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola with art by Richard Corben, the movie is directed by Brian Taylor and stars Jack Kesy as the titular demonic hero. Watch (or listen) and hear how the film is surprisingly comic accurate, drawing from a story where Hellboy deals with local witchcraft instead of world-ending threats.

In this episode of "In the Basement," we embark on a sonic journey that begins in the early 1990’s with some dub infused acid-house courtesy of Primal Scream.  Electronic supergroup of sorts, Decius bring us “Queen Of 14th Street" on the Leaf Label.  We have some Crooked Man, on the mix for PBR Streetgang and another track taken from the new A Love From Outer Space compilation, this time from Laars  with “None”. Le Carrousel gets another spin ahead of its release this Friday, while we touch back down in February 1990, with Beltram’s seminal "Energy Flash", released 35 years ago this week.

Bek is already a well established player in the vibrant DJ-scene of Hamburg, Germany. In the last years he has steadily made a name for himself as a producer aswell and recently releasing quality tracks on Traum Schallplatten, What Happens, Ohral and Natura Viva.
