Trance Classics: Breaks Remixes (r/ClassicTrance Mix Competition Winner) - August 2025

Pete Bromley has been Stoke On Trent's top House DJ since 1989 and it has been an interesting and varied journey for him! Resident DJ at Stoke's first successful Underground Dance night 'Introspective' back in 1989 he went on to play at the infamous Shelleys Laserdome as well as other influential clubnights across the UK. Pete's next residency was to be at the Freetown in Hanley which would see him play alongside DJ's like Sasha & Dave Seaman. This would become the stepping stone to his next residency, the legendary Golden. Pete was the main resident DJ at Golden for an amazing 11 years which saw him play with the worlds biggest DJ's bar none. During this time he played many guest appearances at places such as Cream, Renaissance, Ministry Of Sound and DJ magazine listed him as one of the most popular resident DJ's in the world, resulting in his Essential Mix live on Radio 1 alongside Pete Tong at Sankeys in 1996. Quite an accolade seeing as he has never bolstered his career with international gigs, remixes or a recording career as 99% of producer/DJ's do these days. After Golden's demise In 2003, Pete then went on to become one of the resident DJ's at Satchmo's which has now become part of Stoke clubbing folkelore and his position has been cemented over the last years as resident DJ for the Move and their parties at The Sugarmill, Spode Warehouse & The Underground  playing alongside Jamie Jones, Patrick Topping, Solardo, Skream, Annie Mac, Derrick Carter, Pete Tong, MK, Todd Terry, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Darius Syrossian,Micheal Bibi, Alan Fitzpatrick, wAFF,  Dimitri From Paris, Kenny Dope, Low Steppa, Dan Shake amongst dozens of House musics elite. Silvio Aquila (Arend Hebers) started listening to (hard)trance, hardhouse and techno. But then he discovered Hardstyle!

Silvio Aquila began to mix in 2003 in a local youth centre on the holy Technics turntables.

In 2006 he was asked to join a dj team consisting of 4 dj's & 1 mc, thanks to this he got a chance to present himself to the 'outside world'. Unfortunately this dj-team decided to split up and everybody went their way in 2007...

Afterwards Silvio explored more places in the the Netherlands, abroad and slowly building his reputation. In 2008 he became a resident dj of the well-known online Harder Styles radio FearFM. 

Left his mark on party's like Vroeger Was Alles Beter, Hardclassics, Back2school, Indicator, Decibel and more.These days Silvio Aquila still performs, in the Netherlands and abroad.

Born in Lagonegro (Potenza) in 1984, Reactive began his musical career at age 14 by participating in private parties and working with a local radio station. Until 2010, he is resident DJ in various clubs in southern Italy, winning several competitions.

In 2010, he moved to Switzerland and released his first single. Two years later, he collaborates with the label “Music Evolution” and releases the EP “Jolly.”

Between 2016 and 2017, he plays for Greek radio station “RestRadio” and announces the release of “Welcome to Summer 2016” and “Vocal Deep Lab.” He reaches the top 10 on Beatport with “Vocal Deep Lab” and ranks among the top DJs.

In 2019, he releases his first album “Louder.” Currently, he runs his own record label opened in 2020 and markets himself under his own name, using pseudonyms for outside projects.

In 2025, he released his second album, “NEXT,” and in the same year, he began doing live streaming on Twitch, interacting with fans and sharing also his music in real time.

Sheffield based trance night that has caused a stir through club land ever since its inception in February 2007.

After quickly becoming known for a truly world class DJ bill, first rate productions and a unique atmosphere, OTR has given the local club scene a much needed beat injection.

OTR’s new home is FEZ Club in Sheffield. Here you can expect to be kept dancing until the early hours with a signature laser cut dancefloor bathed in FEZ's ultra-crisp Martin Audio sound system and a raised intimate DJ booth that keeps you truly involved in the action, not to mention state of the art visuals, lighting and productions; OTR has well and truly become a staple to any clubbing schedule.

OTR has always prided itself on providing you with one of the most upfront music policies and DJ line-ups you could expect to hear. Having taken a short break in 2009, OTR returned in an emphatic fashion and have continued to welcome a host of the world’s most prolific artists to its decks including Aly & Fila, Menno De Jong, John O’Callaghan, Matt Hardwick, Orjan Nilsen, Rank1, Simon Patterson and Sean Tyas to name but a few.

Always thinking outside the box, OTR have brought some of the most unique trance and progressive events to have braced the country to Sheffield over the years. With exclusive live performances coming from Solarstone, Roger Shah via a 3 hour extended set and The Thrillseekers showcasing his musical genius through his Live XTreme production, OTR pride themselves on bringing the freshest nights to the scene. Off the Rails were also the brand which proudly brought you local trance legend, Matt Hardwick’s final farewell event upon him announcing his retirement from DJing in 2011. For all those who attended the event, it’s safe to say it was a night to remember and certainly a fitting end for the man who has done so much for trance in the steel city.

The annual Journey Through Trance event is yet another shining example of OTR reaching out to its wanting ravers, providing a classics event with a twist through the talents of the country’s finest up and coming DJs. This sell-out crowd year upon year provide the perfect atmosphere to the soundtrack that has shaped so many people’s lives, making it a definite date in any clubbers diary.

Such is the reputation that OTR has now enveloped throughout club land over the last few years, the Sheffield based brand have been invited to collaborate with a host of the most renowned names around. From Insomniacz at the mighty Magna to Digital Society at the O2 in Leeds, as well as hosting the main room at what is one of the country’s premier venues, Air in Birmingham, for the sell-out Godskitchen event, SixFiveTwelve which saw trance megastars Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk take to the main stage.

OTR’s vision has always been clear; to be at the forefront of any clubbing experience. Rest assured, this is something we aim to continue and with a wealth of projects on the horizon, be sure to embrace that signature OTR experience.
