As a Witchpunk group, naturally they have evolved out of the punk scene, into the post-punk era of new wave, which in turn birthed shoegaze - so they naturally had to go through a phase of that. But their dreams were far from pleasant - nothing pretty flowery, but dreams of oblivion instead. Go figure!

As a Witchpunk band, the Cacklettes are pretty eclectic in their work, and it evolves very quickly in many directions. Also they don't really bother to pay much attention to production quality, as they are too busy infighting and getting each other fired and banned from clubs.

This is a hypnotic stoner/grunge track not dissimilar to some tracks we used to play live. With a twist, of course, because we were all guys, and this lot is not.

Going back to early new wave... Proto shoegaze. Because this fictional witchpunk band needs to go through a whole evolution of different styles indeed.

I really like how this track turned out. It's kind of experimental with the tempo changes, and the vocals are sweet too.
