En esta entrevista exclusiva desde el Primer Simposio Internacional SIBIOGAS en Río Cuarto, Julio Menéndez, coordinador de Bioenergías de la Cámara Argentina de Energía Renovable (CADER), analiza el futuro del biogás y biometano en Argentina. Con una convocatoria que superó las expectativas, Menéndez destaca la participación de más de 750 asistentes, incluyendo empresas y expertos de múltiples países y sectores, en un evento que refleja el creciente interés por el potencial de la bioenergía en la región.

Durante la charla, Menéndez subraya el papel del biometano como un recurso clave para reducir emisiones en industrias de alta demanda energética y en el transporte pesado. Explica que este combustible renovable ya está impulsando iniciativas en el sistema fluvial sudamericano, con proyectos que prometen revolucionar la infraestructura de transporte en la región.

Menéndez también resalta la colaboración entre el sector privado y el público como un factor esencial para el avance de la bioenergía en Argentina. Con más de 30 plantas operativas y un potencial de crecimiento exponencial, Argentina se posiciona para aprovechar al máximo sus recursos naturales, impulsando proyectos de bioenergía que contribuyan a la descarbonización y al desarrollo económico sostenible.
