Making Relatives, which took place in May 2023, was an event that brought indigenous activists from Turtle Island (AKA North America) over to Ireland, to visit other environmental and local campaigners, share experienes, build connections, and make relatives.

This special episode of Turning Earth features interviews with the three Lakota visitors: Chas Jewett, Jeshua Estes and Lewis Grass Rope.

Mark Peeters’ self-styled persona Caim exudes good vibes, an aura of love and is a guaranteed good night out. He’s a Dutch producer and jockey with pep in his step, bouncing from club to club, continent to continent, never taking himself too seriously, simply relaying sounds as they come and giving his crowds the fun they came for. Years into his musical project he’s got the stamina of a newly minted selector, a ‘knob-twitching, crate digging’ beat enthusiast whose sets twist and turn from techno to trance to breakbeat to house. Alongside a residency at Amsterdam’s Breakfast Club and at the helm of his city’s Mood parties, he also runs Lonely Planet Records, a label on which his own EP is set for release on November 15th. The Medusa Hunter is set to be a futuristic, Goa-inspired record where the myths of the past and the bright lights of future converge. Little doubt it’s going to be a banger. Bassiani Podcast 243 brings his stream of references together in a groovy mash up that gently rises and falls, three hours and thirteen minutes of sweet-toothed electronic bliss, a set recorded live during his performance on the Horoom floor back in September.

The Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Caim surprises every time with rare finds from the nineties and zeroes, from techno to trance and from breakbeat to house. With residencies at Mood, the Tribe and Breakfast Club, whilst running his own label Lonely Planets Records, Mark Peeters is known for his notoriously deep and long (after-hours) sets. In the studio, Caim produces organic techno and stripped-down house with a touch of trance.

宀 (pronounced "mihn" is the Chinese Radical 40 with a different pronunciation according countries. It has no literal meaning but can be likened to a roof or shelter. This is a place where you can express yourself freely. This place is for dancing. This is a place to learn. This is safe space where you will not be harassed, discriminated, criticised or harmed emotionally or physically. This is a place where all Races, Genders and Sexual identities are welcome. To safeguard this vision, there will be a no-photo policy applied inside the club.

宀 has been imagined by a group of music and audiophile enthusiasts who have chosen a Funktion One soundsystem in a room carefully engineered by one of the region's leading experts in acoustics.
