Bass Culture

DNB MINI MIX

Unlike any of the other tracks on the EP, 'feel the sun' starts off with a higher tempo, and a fast paced set of melodies and chords.

We're immediately met with elegant male vocals and piano chords that fill up the harmonic spectrum, singing about the sensation of the sun in your eyes - something we can all relate to.

Just as we're acclimated to what this track might be about, heart pieces increases the tempo into an intricate build up sectoin, introducing new synths and elements as we move up the ladder.

The drop hits and we're sent into a drum and bass driven pattern, with multiple layered synth channels making up a gigantic stabbing loop and arpeggio eagerly carrying us through the entire drop.

By the time we realize the tempo has shifted, we're dumped back into the second break section comprised of totally different elements and drums vs the beginning.

In just a minute, the song takes us back into a drop section, but with a 4-to-the-floor drum pattern and stabbing synths that fill the gaps between.

By the end of the track, we're brought to almost a screeching halt as the synths echo into the distance. As quickly as it began, it's already over, and we've experienced the Emotional Observator's perspective.

One of my favourite bits of production, this is a dnb track I made which has inspiration from metal type rock, especially with the distorted guitar samples.
