Our guest today, Jeff Griffiths, is the Director of the Skills Innovation and Productivity Centre at the Canada West Foundation, a public policy think tank based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where he leads a team focused on pragmatic public policy to enhance the human capital – and by extension the economic prosperity – of Canada’s western provinces.

Jeff is also a principal at WorkForce Strategies International focused on competency-based workforce and organizational development consulting for small to mid-sized businesses in the construction, manufacturing and natural resources sectors. 

He speaks and writes extensively on competency-based approaches to selection, on-boarding, training, and certification/credentialling. This passion developed during his first career as an officer in the Canadian military.
