Inspired and started the day after my first trip to Boomtown in 2022, I wanted to experiment and make a track that would make an impact on whatever dancefloor it was dropped at. 

'HEAVYWEIGHT' encapsulates the direction I've been looking to take the FEZZA sound for some time and I'm super excited to debut this new style.

Heaven Sent Back From The Dead

This Christmas, Hannah McPake will take you on a brand-new adventure from bombed out streets in post-war Cardiff and into Wonderland, all from the comfort of your Sherman Main House seat. 

Alice: Return to Wonderland promises to be another amazing, joyous and spectacular Christmas show for everyone aged 7+.

Written and directed by Hannah McPake, the music will be composed by Lucy Rivers and Barnaby Southgate will be the Musical Director with sound designed by Sam Jones. Alice Eklund will be the Associate Director. The set will be designed by Elin Steele with Andy Pike designing the lighting.  

Keiron Self, Caitlin Lavagna, Elian Mae West, Emily Ivana Hawkins, Joe Tweedale, Mari Fflur, Max James, Oliver Wood and Zara Law will all be starring in the show. 

Alice: Return to Wonderland will be audio described in English at The Sherman Theatre in Cardiff on Saturday 13 December 2025 at 7pm. There will also be a Touch Tour half hour before the show starts. You will go on a guided tour around the set, where I will explain in detail what it looks like.

The Sherman Theatre is located in Cathays and the address is: Senghennydd Road, Cardiff and the postcode is CF24 4YE.

If you are part of the Hynt scheme and have a Hynt card, you can bring a companion for free, so don’t forget to mention when you are booking.

Guide dogs are welcome in the theatre. The Sherman can offer seats on the end of the row to make your visit easier. Please inform the Box Office when booking your ticket and ask for information on any special effects that might affect the comfort of your dog during the production. Alternatively, your dog can be looked after by a member of the team who are happy to provide a water bowl or take the dog for a walk.

The main entrance at Senghennydd Road has level-access directly into the foyer. There are two sets of assisted sliding doors and there is a drop-off point directly outside with a dropped kerb leading to the main entrance. There is one wheelchair available for transfers and there are lifts and accessible toilets on all levels.

MLR Weekly: Cardiff & Hollywood? Reg Clark of Ownership Group Speaks Candidly, College Rugby Corner

Introducing Sherman Makers our brand-new community group with accessibility at its heart.
Sherman Makers is a community theatre group where you can create theatre, perform, learn, and build your confidence, all in a supportive, safe and inclusive space. It sits alongside our other community group, Sherman Players, both offering opportunities to unleash your creativity!
Sherman Makers is for anyone aged 18 and over who is Deaf, hard of hearing, disabled, neurodivergent or passionate about making accessible theatre. Whilst there is a small charge to take part; there are no auditions or barriers to join. 
Sherman Makers is open to all, but we will give priority to anyone who faces barriers to participating in the arts. We aim to meet all your access needs, including providing BSL and SSE interpreters and access support workers.
Sherman Makers has been created because:
-	We want you to feel theatre is for you.
-	We want you to feel part of a community of people creating accessible theatre together.
-	We want you to express yourself, meet likeminded people, make new connections, and feel excited, energised and inspired!
Together, we will all make theatre with creative access at its core — embedding BSL, captions and audio description into every performance.
If you want to get involved, you can join our FREE taster workshop on Saturday 15 November, from 2 to 4pm. You will meet other participants, get a feel for the group, and have the chance to ask questions.
After the workshop, we will open bookings for the group, which meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from January 2026.
The introductory workshop is free — but spaces are limited! When the group begins in January, sessions will cost £5 per week during the pilot phase until April 2026. Future terms will be priced at £120 per term, with 50% discounts for those receiving financial support from the government. We will also have a number of bursaries available.
