tranzit. ro/Cluj în parteneriat cu UBB Cluj-Napoca a găzduit o prelegere & dezbatere în cadrul proiectului „Philosophy in Late Socialist Europe: Theoretical Practices in the Face of Polycrisis” pe tema romanului românesc în comunismul târziu și capitalismul timpuriu cu titlul „Anticomunismul comunist: romanul realist în România comunismului târziu și tranziția spre realismul capitalist”. Invitați au fost Ștefan Baghiu și Mihai Iovănel. Întâlnirea a avut loc în limba română și a fost moderată de Alex Cistelecan.

„În această prezentare formulăm o teză dublă, care este deopotrivă provocatoare și paradoxală. În primul rând, susținem că ideologia anticomunismului, care a fost dominantă în România în anii 1990, adică după căderea comunismului în decembrie 1989, a fost de fapt construită în mare parte înainte de căderea comunismului. Și nu doar în afara României, deși, evident, corpul principal al teoriei anticomuniste a fost construit în Occident, ci chiar în interiorul României comuniste. Cu alte cuvinte, noi susținem că anticomunismul a fost, cel puțin parțial, o creație teoretică a comunismului. Acest lucru este paradoxal mai ales dacă luăm în considerare bibliografia generală – chiar și cele mai anticomuniste studii nu oferă un astfel de cadru de interpretare a sistemului literar românesc. Chiar și cele mai recente cercetări, deși foarte perspicace în explicarea modului în care „romanul despre România comunismului” nu a reușit să ajungă, uită că unele dintre cele mai importante romane din comunismul târziu au fost, de fapt, antistaliniste și, în tonuri mari, anticomuniste. În al doilea rând, susținem că procesul de decolonizare în raport cu Uniunea Sovietică pe care România l-a inițiat în anii 1960 sub Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej și l-a aprofundat sub Nicolae Ceaușescu a jucat un rol ambiguu în construcția anticomunismului comunist. Acesta este contextul în care apar romanele pe care le discutăm în prezentarea noastră: Delirul (1975) și Cel mai iubit dintre pământeni (1980) de Marin Preda și Pumnul și palma de Dumitru Popescu (3 vol., 1980-82). Ambele romane au abordat în mod critic problema interferenței coloniale dintre Rusia și România. Ambele romane au fost bestselleruri în România comunistă, au fost scrise de persoane cu poziții înalte în domeniul literar și politic și au stârnit atât ecouri critice la Moscova, cât și poziții defensive la București. În ceea ce privește perioada postcomunistă, deși cercetătoare precum Adriana Stan au arătat cum noile realități ale perioadei de tranziție – de la socialismul de stat la capitalismul „sălbatic” și politicile neoliberale – au fost portretizate în ficțiunea românească în principal prin intermediul autoficțiunii, romanul politic al perioadei a creat mai ales reprezentări alegorice ale perioadei comuniste. Această reprezentare politică alegorică a societății comuniste a fost înlocuită în postcomunism cu reprezentarea politică autoficțională a societății postcomuniste. Autori precum Adrian Schiop sau Lavinia Braniște au portretizat eșecul „tranziției spre nicăieri” prin mutarea personajelor lor cu caracter autobiografic în periferiile capitalismului urban”.

A 24 ans, Manon Orsi visite la deuxième fois la Roumanie, un pays qui fera l’objet d’un documentaire qu’elle prépare dans le cadre d’un Master spécialisé dans la vidéo. Après trois ans d’études à la Faculté de Beaux-arts de Valence, avec une mention Arts, Manon décide de s’aventurer sur le chemin des arts visuels pour le journalisme. Elle change donc de région et elle opte pour un master à Lorient dans le cadre duquel elle veut réaliser un film documentaire sur le passé communiste des Roumains. Pour apprendre davantage sur son projet, j’ai invité Manon dans le studio de RRI.

« Ceausescu était à la fois autoritaire et enthousiasmant pour les Roumains car il était en même temps au pouvoir et dans l'opposition. Représentant du Léviathan pour son peuple, il incarnait la lutte du David roumain contre le Goliath soviétique en politique extérieure », écrit Traian Sandu dans son ouvrage « Ceausescu, le dictateur ambigu » qu'il consacre à l'ancien satrape communiste de Roumanie. Professeur agrégé détaché auprès de l'Université de Paris III, fils de réfugié politique des années soixante-dix, arrivé en France en 1978, Traian Sandu pose dans cette biographie un regard interrogateur sur les deux décennies de pouvoir absolu de Ceausescu. Paru en septembre dernier, chez les Editions Perrin, l'ouvrage représente le coup de cœur littéraire de Mathieu Fabre, libraire à Kyralina.

Revisiting State Socialism podcast series provides podcasts & interviews on the topic of philosophy, social sciences, art theory, and literature produced within East European socialism to better understand the evolution or development of thought under communism. The main podcasts are recorded in Cluj-Napoca, where the seminars held by scholars from Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, and Turkey are recorded for tranzit.ro and published on platforms for the study of modern and contemporary history.
It is mainly built around several institutions, tranzit.ro/Cluj, the BBU Janovics Center for Screen and Performing Arts Studies, and the "Philosophy in Late Socialist Europe: Theoretical Practices in the Face of Polycrisis" research project. More details & website soon.
