Deep. Dark. Progressive. Those three adjectives captured a moment in electronic music that rippled through the scene like a sonic ideology. The sound emerged at the turn of the millennium and embraced its name with laser-like precision: it sure was deep, undoubtedly dark, and undeniably progressive.  

It’s a moment that Stuart McKeown and Darius Bassiray know all too well. As part of Melbourne’s Zero Tolerance crew and two-thirds of Depth Institute, they champion its contemporary incarnation, releasing on labels like Mango Alley, Sound Avenue, and, of course, Zero Tolerance.  

They also lived through it, making them perfectly positioned to pontificate on the scene. Chris Dixis was born in Ougrée in Liège on June 1, 1982. His first club performance was as "Dj Chris" at "Metropolis" in Harsin in 2003 for a Dj contest (he won).

He played in clubs like "Bunker", "Millenium", the "Groove", in several bars on the "square of Liège", at events such as the "jump'in valley". He played a lot in the north of France, with Hardtrance and Jumpstyle-mixes.

In 2012, he decided to change his artist name and to Chris Dixis, he also changed his musical style and created a Soundcloud-page where he shared retro sets. Fans asked for more, so he decided to do this regularly. ...

Thanks to the sharing of his sets, clubs like "Dance Hall", "Arenchi", '' Real '',"Lazzura", "Montini", "La Rocca Backstage", "Le Barocco", '' beachland Festival '' etc. started booking him and he became resident of the Club System Reunions.

Chris shared the turntables with great artists such as Phi-Phi, Ghost, Mackenzie, Dave Kane, Sven Lanvin, Philip, Franky Jones, Jan Vervloet, Youri, Bountyhunter and many others ...

A driving force in the Chicago House scene for over two decades, Shmoo is known for his acclaimed You Are Here series with Derrick Carter at the legendary Spybar and his groundbreaking studio work alongside Gramaphone’s Garrett David. « J'ai toujours aimé chanter, depuis tout petit. Je reprenais avec force et vigueur les génériques de mes dessins animés préférés ou les succès de l'époque. C'est en faisant la vaisselle que j'ai découvert les auteurs comme Aznavour, Brel, Reggiani et tant d’autres car pour passer le temps, je me mettais un baladeur sur les oreilles et je chantais. J'aimais tellement ça qu'à la fin ça me prenait parfois 1 heure à faire la vaisselle simplement parce que j'avais le plaisir de chanter; j'étirais la sauce.
 J'aime cette liberté que me donne la chanson : exprimer des émotions puissantes et les sortir par des sons qui les transcendent.
 Lorsqu’on me disait tu devrais chanter, je ne le croyais pas car ça venait de mes amis ou de ma famille mais lorsqu’un inconnu, musicien et chansonnier, m’a dit que je devrais chanter, je me suis dit : pourquoi pas !
 J’ai commencé à chanter dans les mariages et les funérailles et depuis ce moment-là je sais au fond de moi que je suis fait pour ça : partager ma passion. »

Depuis plusieurs années, Yanick Hellwig partage sa passion pour le chant en prêtant sa voix à différents événements corporatifs, spectacles bénéfices, concerts et événements privés. Ce sportif français de souche mais bien québécois depuis 11 ans a participé à différents festivals, émission de télévisions et concours et a créé plusieurs spectacles depuis son arrivée : « Romance à Paris », « Paris-Québec » et « le Noël de Yanick Hellwig ».
