When in March 2020 all live concert performances were cancelled, The Augustana Choir, like ensembles everywhere, was forced to reassess how it could share its music with supporters, friends and families.  Thankfully, without the commitment of live performances, the choir had the chance to record - both audio and video, in-person and virtual - our way of sharing our music with our communities.  Recorded over three seasons, Distracted by Beauty is the result of these recording sessions.

El Conjunto Vocal de Cámara Vocalis Causa fue fundado a comienzos del año 2018 por su director e integrante Tomás Davidis con la intención de generar un espacio de trabajo con el canto vocal de cámara en Ingeniero Maschwitz, partido de Escobar, de manera profesional. En estos años de trabajo la agrupación se ha concentrado en el estudio e interpretación de música vocal antigua (renacimiento al clasicismo) en contraposición a un repertorio de música vocal contemporánea (destacándose en ella la reminiscencia a la música vocal antigua de carácter sacro).

Se destacan en su repertorio compositores contemporáneos e internacionalmente reconocidos como: Arvo Pärt, Ola Gjeilo, Vitautas Miskinis, David Childs, entre otros. Su repertorio presenta además, obras de compositores argentinos, con el propósito de promover la cultura vocal local y a sus contemporáneos.

En la actualidad el conjunto vocal de cámara está integrado por ocho cantantes.
