I wrote and recorded this for my 11 (at the time) year old daughter as she was stuck in her room with COVID-19.  She was feeling depressed and I wanted to cheer her up.  It was complete in about two hours then it got lost in a hard drive crash.  I recently found a back up on another disk.

I had written this song a while back , since still I gotta fix my truck's brakes and I gotta find a new job because I needed my truck to work ... but it's a Sunday and I'm alone at my house , I decided to finish editing this song and I love how it sounds ... for quite a few years I've heard about Gringasho and I thought his phrase , "Gringasho el Gringo mas peruano que tú" , it was such a good phrase , really brought me a smile , and I saw how he really loves Peru and the people that he blessed during his mission and after his mission ... as I learned more of his lifestory , I was very inspired , I saw some of the interviews and truly the fact that he decided to go all the way to Peru and work very hard there in many jobs to succeed , to me felt like something that was written in a movie , and then the miracle that his dad survived some trials of life , it truly brought me joy , we actually both live in Salt Lake City , I've never met him , but I sometimes go the best mechanic in Salt Lake City , his name is Shaolyn , if you search for Shaolyn Lavados Mechanic , you will find his business , he's the best and a good friend , well what are the chances that Gringasho also has gone there .
