Os povos indígenas de Roraima continuam mobilizados pela retirada da PEC 48 da pauta do Congresso Nacional, bem como da PEC 36 e pela revogação da Lei 14.701, aprovada pelo Congresso em dezembro de 2023. As manifestacoes sao pacificas e ocorrem nas estradas federais BR 174 e BR 432.
De autoria do senador de Roraima, Hiran Gonçalves, a PEC 48 altera o artigo 231 da Constituição Federal, incluindo em seu texto a tese do marco temporal que o Supremo Tribunal Federal já definiu como inconstitucional. Este Artigo não pode ser modificado por ser cláusula pétrea, o que garante o direito originário dos povos indígenas
A mobilização continua ate que o senador aceite o convite de dialogo e retire a PEC da pauta do Congresso Nacional.
