The German Detroit Techno Authority. He is a DJ and producer who embodies the essence of Detroit Techno, House, and Electro in Germany like few others. Since the 1970s, he has shaped the electronic music scene with unwavering dedication to vinyl, uncompromising sound, and a profound understanding of the roots of the music he plays. Already in the 1980s, he laid the foundation for his musical identity. While most DJs drifted with the mainstream, Bachor remained true to his taste – always shaped by influences from Detroit and Chicago and with an unyielding focus on raw, unpolished sound. His sets are characterized by stylistic diversity and meticulously curated records, with the passionate vinyl collector effortlessly moving between Soul, Electro, Acid, and House, captivating audiences with his deep knowledge and absolute authenticity. In 1991, he launched Psycho Thrill – a project that manifested the essence of underground techno and electro in Germany. Here, Bachor regularly brought legends like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin, and Derrick May to Germany, establishing an unshakable reputation as an ambassador of the true Detroit sound. For him, this culture means more than its musical genres can convey. It is a space for self-determination and escapism, a statement against blind commercialism and superficiality.

In a conversation with Andre Kronert, Bachor offers intimate insights into his life and artistic philosophy. He speaks not only about his career but also about personal challenges that have shaped his work – a rare, profound look behind the scenes of a man who has been walking his path for decades without ever straying from the course of authenticity.

Audioklinik is one of Switzerland’s most influential techno artists who is currently based in the US. Since his first release in 2005, he quickly gained international recognition both as a brilliant producer, DJ and artist who plays internationally.

With over 100 tracks consisting both of his originals and remixes by the likes of Cristian Varela, Jam El Mar (Jam & Spoon), John Askew, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Steve Redhead, Mark Williams, Samuel L Session, Goncalo M, MarAxe etc., Audioklinik quickly became a key figure and has been a driving force in the Hardgroove and Hard Tribal techno scene.

He has over 30 releases including major labels such as Christian Smith’s Tronic Records, Cristian Varela’s Black Code Experiments Records, Juliet Fox’s TREGAMBE Records, D.A.V.E the Drummer’s Hydraulix Records, A.Paul’s Naked Lunch Records, amongst many more.

Audioklinik received DJs’ support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, DJ Rush, Mistress Barbara, Ken Ishi, Sam Paganini, CJ Bolland, Dax J, Daria Kolosova, Klangkuenstler, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Marcel Fengler, David Moleon, and many more. 

He has been DJing since 1996, and for almost 3 decades keeps getting praise for his well-versed and crafted sets filled with powerful grooves and high-energy that come alive through his flawless DJ skills using 3 or even 4 decks while drawing from multiple genres. 

Audioklinik is a gifted musical storyteller who creates impactful multi-dimensional soundscapes emerging from highlights of the past as well as the latest tracks from fellow talented producers, guiding his audience into exhilarating movement and connection.

Two remixes were released under the abbreviated moniker "ADN" which were, "Mauro Picotto - The Twilight Zone," on Alchemy Records in late-2023 (a hard acid techno remix of the 1999 underground techno hit Megamind - Taub), and "Andreas Kraemer & Jon Connor - Catch," on Sonaxx Records in mid-2024 (a hard techno/schranz remix featuring the vocal from Kosheen's chart topping club hit "Catch"). Both "Ad Nauseam" and "ADN" ceased being active projects in mid-2024 and are now defunct, with the two producers opting to pursue different creative directions under their solo monikers. A final release, as "Ad Nauseam," called the "Rave System E.P.," was released in early 2025, and included two new 90's rave inspired hard acid techno tracks, "Omega System," and "Alpha System," plus the previously unreleased 2004 hard acid techno track "Always Acid," due to high demand for its release on SoundCloud. The "Rave System E.P." was released on extremely limited edition yellow vinyl in a full-color picture sleeve and digital through Flatlife Records, and topped techno vinyl sales charts, and received major support from techno and acid techno DJs around the world.
