This piece, commissioned by pianist Kathleen Supové, grew out of my experience of caring for Wendy, my wife of 45 years, and ultimately losing her to cancer. Kathleen observed Wendy’s heroic fight against the disease, then her peaceful acceptance of her mortality when the fight became futile. She asked if I could write a piece which would somehow describe or respond to that ultimate combination of struggle and acceptance. In Journey’s End, the piano is pitted against an increasingly invasive computer part.  As the piece progresses, the pianist has control of how and when the electronic part moves forward, but the electronic part becomes increasingly more difficult to integrate with the piano part.  Eventually – at the pianist’s final decision – the piece ends with a lyrical chorale as the computer settles into increasingly overpowering but consonant drones.

A modern progressive house reimagining inspired by Maurice Ravel’s “Jeux d’eau”.
I took the shimmering, flowing feel of the original piano piece and translated it into a club context – wide chords, airy plucks, sidechained bass and emotional breaks with hints of the classical harmony.

This track is meant for that moment when the dancefloor slows down just enough for people to close their eyes, breathe, and let memories flood in – hope, nostalgia and a bit of longing, all at once.

A dreamy, romantic progressive house track inspired by a barcarolle rhythm – flowing piano lines, gentle pulses like waves rocking a boat at night, lush harmonies and a hypnotic groove made for late-night dancefloors and quiet nostalgia.

What happens when you take one of the most iconic pieces of classical music and strip away the politeness?

Grieg’s original masterpiece is legendary for its ability to build tension. With this adaptation, the goal was to push that tension to its absolute limit—respecting the original score while injecting it with the raw, visceral energy of modern hip-hop and cinematic sound design.

This track bridges two worlds. The iconic orchestral melodies and the dramatic weight of a mixed choir are now driven forward by heavy 808s and punchy, aggressive drums. It is a sonic experiment in accelerating madness—moving from a stealthy creep to a massive, chaotic wall of sound.

It is familiar, yet completely new. Turn it up and feel the pressure rise.
