This track was written in the space of an hour on 15th May 2023 upon hearing of the sudden death of my friend's puppy. Bracken had run out of their field into the path of a delivery van who did not stop but drove on. It was a heartbreaking time for all who knew not only the family but the beautiful cocker spaniel whose life had been lost so unexpectedly. This piece for string orchestra, I think, portrays that hurt and sadness - but finishes with a little bit of hope for the future (which we all need from time to time).

I have been a professional musician for the best part of a quarter of a century, now, but not really had the time to focus on promoting my own music. I've taught piano and flute, conducted choirs and worked as a church musician... always composing and arranging. My original music is always melody driven with a solid harmonic base, which makes it easy to listen to and, hopefully, appeals! I tend to find foundation in the piano though, being as flautist, I have a good ear for melody. I use Finale for score writing and Cubase as my DAW. Stark Hunter is the  trademark name for my published music, literary writings and photography. I am 73 years old. This is American Anti-Music. It is not affiliated with the American “Mainstream” Music industry, or any foreign country. My music is always free. I am an 'outsider' artist, and have been a writer, photographer and jam musician since the 60’s. This anti-music is as raw as it gets. Totally organic and authentic. If this music were a woman, she would be naked with no make-up on. I tend to see these musical creations as weird impressionist paintings, but set to sound. Anti-music tends to be quiet music unlike the mainstream music environment. It is invariably recorded at low volumes, mainly because I hate loud music. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use earbuds or headphones when listening to this real anti-music. My recording studio is inside my dark garage. Ghosts of dead girlfriends visit me constantly as I create these musical paintings. I am not mad. Thank you. I hope you enjoy these unorthodox sound excursions. SH
