Since moving to Los Angeles in 2013, Jake Clavette (@clavettemusic) has spent over a decade immersed in music. From starting his first business in 2016 writing music for TV, film, and other projects, to working with iconic brands like Ray-Ban, Tidal, Roc Nation, and FOX, he’s built an impressive portfolio.

As a producer, he worked from 2014 to 2018 writing songs for pop artists, including the hit 'Cigarettes on Patios' for BabyJake, which is Gold Certified with over 157 million streams on Spotify. Under the name Clavette, he’s created music that’s been supported by industry giants like Diplo, Claptone, Lane 8, and many others, amassing over 1.85 million streams on Spotify.

He’s also collaborated with artists like N2N, LEFTI, Boogietraxx, and Racket Club (that’s me), and have been involved in event production with collectives like Los Angeles Music Project and Top Shelf Disco. In 2022, he founded Stereo Punks, focusing on organizing and producing premier events at top venues like Sound, 1720, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.  I have been collecting and playing House music for more than 30 + years and going to shows in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay area mostly. I believe that music connects us and music is a passion of mine without it I would wither away and die. From an early age it’s been about the rhythm section for Racket Club. Playing drums in bands that covered Rage Against the Machine and Deftones, Racket Club’s style has since morphed into what he calls Disco-Tech: a little Disco, a little Tech, and everything in between. He has an affinity for bouncy House music bass lines with female and hip hop vocals and you know he’s going to throw down in the club having done it for nearly 15 years, at venues like Sound Nightclub LA, Academy LA, Audio San Francisco, House of Blues, Lost Beach Club (Ecuador), Slate New York, and Zuma Boston. 

Racket Club has played support for and alongside heavy hitters HoneyLuv, Gene Farris, Westend, DJ Susan, OFFAIAH, Pickle, and Zen Freeman and he’s been on the bill for Groove Cruise, Wicked Paradise, Space Yacht, Hood Politics, Framework, and even Mammoth Mountain.

On the production side Racket Club’s released a flurry of edits that have gone viral on SoundCloud including his Beyoncé edit that’s approaching 50K streams and has aired on BBC Radio 1. He’s also had releases on Top Shelf Disco and Quincy Boy Records, with a release on Hood Politics out Spring 2023.

Former member of the record label Top Shelf Disco, a founder of the event series Pizza & Techno plus a co-founder of the music blog My Music Is Better Than Yours, Racket Club is no stranger to the electronic music world. While Chicago is certainly the birthplace of House music, Milwaukee can also lay claim to House history, specifically the French flavor. Debuting in North America in 1996, Daft Punk played their first States side show in Milwaukee, a detail clavette has never gone a day without reminding himself. clavette, the Milwaukee native and LA based DJ & producer, has built his career on the fact that big things can start from humble beginnings. 
 
Relocating to Los Angeles in 2013, clavette deeply steeped himself into the music industry, working on projects for major recordings artists such as Baby Jake, as well as high profile composing clients like Chanel, Ray Ban, Nike, and Tidal. An avid French House-head, clavette started the moniker end of 2019, tirelessly preparing his sound in his home studio, using the influences of artists like DJ Falcon, Alan Braxe, and Le Knight Club of the late 90’s and early 2000’s French House scene as his guiding light. 
 
While the landscape of the live music industry changed dramatically in the early months of 2020, clavette debuted his project with an emphasis on strong digital releases focusing on songwriting, groove, and melodic nostalgia. Fast forward 2021, clavette has made quite the name for himself in only a short amount of time, blending sounds of Disco and French House with conviction. clavette has already garnered the attention of industry heavyweights like Diplo, Mark Knight, and Roger Sanchez via BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM, and KISSFM UK. Showing his foundations are rooted firmly in the traditions and history of House music, clavette aims to add his unique voice to the conversation in what he calls “French House Revival.” Having debuted a guest mix for prestigious Radio FG, as well as scoring multiple Genre Top 10 positions on Beatport and Traxsource via his releases with Toolroom Trax, Simma Black, and Deep Root Records, clavette is poised to make big strides in the coming year and beyond.

I am LUKA DIGALA, DJ with residence in Barcelona (Spain). Attracted by electronic music from a very young age, I have reached the professional industry at a senior age, finally surrendered to the evidence that music is part of making this world a better place to live.
