My Love for House and Electronic Music stems back to around 1986 when i started to really enjoy sounds produced by the great Jean-Michel Jarre when i stumbled upon the magnificent Oxygène. This album opened my mind to sounds that where not mainstream chart, and from then on i was hooked. The KLF previously The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu (The Jams) Doctoring the Tardis, What Time Is Love grew my love even more, their album What The Fuck Is Going On 1987 changed me as a young school boy often portrayed as a weirdo due to my music choice being a lot different to everyone else in my year.  Technotronic Pump Up The Jam and EMF They're Here solidified my love even more, Funny enough years later seeing these people out enjoying themselves to the music i grew up with and them saying hey Coatesy remember you listened to this music in School, im just like yeah ano what a moment in time. Then the Legend Chris Hurley RIP started to ramp up early House nights in the Mighty Kelly's, this was the start of my journey into the rabbit hole of House Music. Club's like Heggartys, The Network and even The Crescent became my weekend home throughout my teens and twenties but one club stood out above all, Circus Circus a club so great they named it twice. To me this was the greatest show on earth, a place where I've met the finest people whom I'm privileged to still have as friends all these years later, people who just know Oldskool the way it was meant to be and still is. These beautiful humans are friends for life and when the reunions come about we are almost always there enjoying the choons from the greatest era. You would have found me on the decks at parties around Belfast every weekend, my treasured 1210's still in immaculate shape through sheer luck still serve me to this day although quite a lot of records have went missing.
