"The night was cold and stormy. The boy had lost his way, wandering aimlessly through the fog-infested rainforest until he began to give up hope of finding a way out.

Just before giving up, a voice sounded in his head, calling him deeper into the heart of the rainforest. The voice led him to an abandoned mansion, overgrown with vegetation and crawling with animals. Upon entering, the boy was hit with the scent of a library. The voice, patient of the boy’s wariness, led him upstairs and into a study. The drafty room was littered with old papers, letters, and many glass containers that held strange items in them. Then the boy saw it. In the center of the room, atop a pedestal, a book rested solemnly.

The boy, following the voice’s command, opened the book and began to read the inscriptions. A feeling of warmth and calm flooded over him as he read, as if an invisible cloak had wrapped itself around his body. The more and more he read, the more he felt like he was being overwhelmed by the book’s power. It began to shake in his hands, and a beam of blue light emerged from its pages. Without warning, or a chance to escape, the boy was absorbed into the book.

The book dropped, splashing in the wet rainwater as it hit the floor. The mansion stayed eerily silent for a moment, as if holding its breath. On the other side, the boy found himself in an unfamiliar world."
