In this bat-tastic episode, the boys dive utility-belt first into the purple-tinted fever dream that is Prince's 1989 Batman soundtrack—the musical oddity that asked, What if the Joker had a groove? and What if Gotham threw a dance party at a crime scene?

Dave and Tom unravel the purple enigma track by track, covering hits like the head-scratcher banger “Batdance.” Is it a song? Is it three songs? Is it an audio hallucination brought on by too much Joker gas? “Partyman,” the funkiest war crime ever committed on vinyl, and “Scandalous,” the sultry slow jam you definitely shouldn’t be playing in the Batcave if Alfred’s nearby. Even hit singles like “Trust” and “Electric Chair” make the chaps ask the big questions, like: Was this soundtrack made for a movie, or did Prince just decide to adopt Batman for tax reasons? How much music can one man pull out of a vault and palm off as a Soundtrack?

Anyway, grab your grappling hook, put on your vulcanized rubber suit, and join the SSSM crew for a funk-fueled caper through one of the weirdest, wildest musical side quests in superhero history.

Right After Review: Superman (2025)

It's been five years since the original film, and to immortals that's the blink of an eye. But for us mere mortals, is it worth the wait for THE OLD GUARD 2 on Netflix? They've added Uma Thurman to the cast, so one would think seeing her battle Charlize Theron might make it worth it. You know, KILL BILL vs. ATOMIC BLONDE? A good ol' round of Theron vs. Thurman?

In the vibrant heart of West Alameda, California, amid the buzz of Buena Vista, a young Latino named Jess Pulgarian—nicknamed “Breeze” by his crew—grew up tuned to the rhythms of his surroundings. The streets sang in acid techno beats, hyphy hip-hop anthems, and whispers from the underground. They didn’t just play music—they became music.

Jess didn’t chase music. Music chose him. He remixed his environment, turning salvaged electronics into beat machines, blending hip-hop storytelling with futuristic synths until he birthed a sound that was utterly original. This love for tech and tunes fused into cyberpunk hip-hop—a collision of urban grit and sci-fi sonics.

But fame brought new trials: the need to evolve, the dance between creativity and industry pressure. Jess never wavered. Change was a catalyst, not a compromise. Through collaboration and fearless experimentation, he kept building.

Now known as “Bionix,” Jess continues to redefine boundaries. He’s built a career rooted in sonic innovation and community impact—supporting his family, uplifting others, and refining the beat every step of the way. His next goal? Launch workshops in Alameda that pass on his journey to rising creatives.
