I had the honor to support one of my music heroes Kofi Stone, at his sold out show in the max room of the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Great gig and even better concert. Amazing support by Barney Artist and cool surprise by maestro Tom Misch.

This Is a tribute to the one of the pioneers of Neo-soul. D'angelo created a sub genre with in a genre. He was a One of One, A craftsman. A truly gifted being, This Music always gave me goosebums. There will never be another one like him, a lot of artists have tried to copy his style but they couldn't match the standard and the greatness he had. We are truly going to miss him. InnerEarPower is a DJing platform specializing in all things soulful. Throughout my life, I’ve always been passionate about the power of music/vibration, and how it influences us as a human race. The healing power of music has the ability to transmute and transform our energy on a cellular level, for better or for worse. This is why with InnerEarPower, I’ve come into the role of being a sound vibration curator, behind the scenes architect of the “vibe’ & essence of a moment a.k.a “DJ”. The term “DJ” holds much more weight and responsibility than people give it credit for nowadays. In our culture, people have gravitated towards DJs for therapy, healing, celebration, and escape from the troubles they experience in their reality. With that being said, I find it important to create high vibrational experiences through sound, that provides the space for people to become one with themselves via the universal heartbeat…….. rhythm. We all have an “InnerEar” (some more heightened than others) that allows us to hear the voice of divinity, the Universe, “God”, or whatever term you personally resonate with. The InnerEar is also sensitive to tones & vibrations, which control almost everything in this world. The goal/mission of InnerEarPower is to lead the collective back to a space where we cherished the sacredness of music, prior to the frequency (Hz) being lowered for control purposes. The problem AND the solution has always been reflected in the music culturally.

DJ Kool G started his career in the early 90s as a MC and DJ, who helped to established Florida’s hottest dancehall reggae sound “The Waggy Tee Sound”. He was known for his wide diversified DJ skills and started his radio career on  The Miami underground radio station Mixx 96.1  along with other now well known DJs such as DJ Khaled. DJ Kool G spun at numerous clubs such as  CREAM and Sugar Shack at a time when the music scene was exploding in the Miami  area. In 1994, Kool G blew up the Miami club scene by spinning the hottest R&B and Hip-Hop tracks and setting off Miami’s very popular “First Friday” parties while also working  for celebrities like Alonzo Morning (Miami Heat) at Club Onyx and Louis Oliver  (formerly of the Miami Dolphins) at Club Amnesia South Beach.

In 1998, DJ Kool G was hired at Miami’s #1 radio Station WEDRFM 99JAMZ. He has drawn diverse crowds to such clubs as The Seminole Hard Rock Casino’s Opium Lounge, Club Spirits, SoBe Live, Voodoo Lounge, Bermuda Bar, Cafe Iguanas, Martini Bar, The Mix Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas and over 70 local and national clubs spanning  more than 20 years. DJ Kool G’s name has appeared in The Source Magazine, as well as Hip-Hop Weekly. In 2011, Kool G moved to Chicago and in 2012 appeared on Chicago’s Hottest Hip-Hop / R&B radio station WGCI-FM shutting down the airwaves.
The Notorious DJ Kool G is half owner of INNOVATION MUZIK a new record label formed in 2020.

Joakim Frithjof has been quietly making his mark in the underground scene. Starting out with a love for Hip-Hop, turntablism, and early House, his musical journey took a new turn when he moved to Amsterdam in 2005, where clubs like Club11 and Trouw shaped his evolving sound. Over the years, he’s played across Amsterdam, hosted his own parties in Utrecht, and even made appearances in cities like Copenhagen, Berlin, and Stockholm.

His style? Hard to pin down. He loves mixing things up, drawing from House, breakbeat, UK Garage, floathouse, rave, and classics. Always keeping it fresh but never forgetting the roots. He’s more about making people move than fitting into any one box.

Beyond DJ’ing, he applies his wide-ranging taste in music to curating playlists for brands and physical spaces. As Music Director at Kollekt.fm and with his own venture, Sonic Curations, he helps create custom playlists and music identities that not only fit the aesthetic but also enhance the atmosphere, leaving behind a lasting audio impression.

Fun Fact: The first CD he ever bought at age 12 was The Prodigy’s The Fat of the Land, a purchase that marked the beginning of a lifelong obsession with music.
