Creating Lasting Change Through Community - Led Initiatives

Cashmir Luke has decades of hands-on experience in the healthcare field. Along with nutritional pharmacy and IV channel infusion, he completed clerkships in a number of other specialized areas. Cashmir previously held the positions of manager and clinical pharmacist at Baltimore's Bon Secours Hospital after working as a respiratory therapist at the nearby Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Cashmir also served as a pharmacist intern at the Baltimore Walmart Pharmacy. His duties included receiving, filling, and dispensing prescriptions for pharmacists. He educated patients on the correct use of drugs and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, informed physicians, healthcare professionals, and the public about drug-related problems, processed insurance claims, and determined product pricing. He worked closely with clinicians in the clinical pharmacy at Johns Hopkins Hospital to choose the best medications for patients.
