A brief atmospheric pièce I jotted down in a bout of inspiration on GarageBand. I wanted to express the spirit of the image prompt shown in the jam page in my own way, but at the same time I got greatly inspired by some of the primordial, almost mystical landscapes you can find up among the highest glaciers of Italian Alps. 

Glaciers that unfortunately are slowly thawing away because of climate change. Beside enjoying their spectacular views, in fact, we must do everything we can to stop their decline and preserve them for future generations. They’re water sources and therefore among the most precious natural treasures. And mistreating and wasting treasures is a cruel crime.

'A Fragile Hope' - Showcasing Performance Samples Pacific Ensemble/Solo Strings

It's been a while I know. I've been very busy working on multiple projects but I've finally finished this little piece which demos both the Pacific Ensemble and Solo string libraries from Performance Samples, predominately the legato patches.

I personally love these new string libraries from Performance Samples. They feel so alive and natural. You can hear the rosin on the bow, the little clicks and and scrapes of the initial attack. The re-bowing sounds so lifelike and the top end really shimmers.

"Best Score" Oscar winner and Grammy "Album of the Year" winner, Jon Batiste joins Tonebenders to talk about his score for the Jason Reitman film, Saturday Night.  He discusses the unusual way the music was recoded.  It was captured on the set of the film during the evenings, after shooting was wrapped up each day. He also explains the way this idea came together and the people he collaborated with in order to pull it off. En route pour rendre visite à mon frère, passionné de train et de machines, je capte un échantillon de vie en gare de Lille Europe. Entre éléments mécaniques, événements sonores et bribes de paroles saisies en croisant des gens, une mise en forme sonore qui laisse la plus grande partie de l'expérience d'écoute inchangée, hormis quelques mises en lumière et traitements par effets qui orientent légèrement l'expérience psychoacoustique.
