"Moonshot" takes the listener on a journey from lift-off to the celebration that honored the astronauts that first stepped foot on our nearest natural celestial neighbor. I always wanted to be astronauts when we grew up. Even now, I still look up at the night sky to look for the flag that was planted on the moon. I wonder when we will go back. For now, we must remember those heroes that risked their lives for all mankind.

Moonshot (Band Gr. 4.5) - Mat Campbell

Dedicated to one of the composer’s boat-loving friends, "Catamaran" is an energetic, wild ride with your hair most definitely in the wind. Soaring lines, frenetic rhythmic shifts, driving rhythms, and joyful, relaxing lyricism all make for an experience sure to have you feeling the water splashing all around you! Fast, smooth sailing ahead! The end is certain to wet you down pretty well. 

Catamaran (Band Gr. 5) - Leslie Gilreath

A reflection of an urban lifestyle as well as a musical representation of heroic optimism, "Finding Metropolis" is a thrilling setting of musical ideas from the composer’s time studying in the United Kingdom under renowned wind band composer Adam Gorb.

Finding Metropolis (Band Gr. 4.5) - Lucas Garner

Set in four movements, "A New Orleans Symphony" captures the pain, despair, and destruction brought on by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005.  This powerful work draws from several familiar tunes, including the hymn tune "Nettleton," "Oh When the Saints," and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot."  The fourth & final movement, "Play!," injects some hope as the vibrant city is rebuilt.
