Italian based EXTEND Records is delighted to present its first release: JRD debut EP ‘Archaism’. Hailing from Antwerp (Belgium), JRD has made his own identity in the Techno scene being a respected and estabilished figure in Belgium for more than 30 years. He first unveiled his work to the public as a producer on a few compilations starting in 2021 via Token, Mindtrip and Prophet. JRD now makes his first appearance on a full-lenght EP with 4 cuts of classic techno sounds, a journey through his own signature, including a remix by no other than Conrad Van Orton. 

Starting with ‘The Search’ a track built on atmospheric shifts and a solitary bass drum that certainly sets the tone of the entire EP and opens to the dream with suspense. JRD then takes down the narrative tone notch to make space for 'Archaism'. Several drones and ambiences floating over a repetitive groove wisely administrated for an exceptional mental hypnosis. We are then gripped by an eclectic third track, 'Rude', a relentless rhytm with driving synth line perfectly arranged and plied along its run time to generate a palpable tension. Jordy then guides us to the final journey of 'Responder', an ethereal conclusion to an suspenseful adventure. To top it off, the release is provided with a remix that leaves no room for interpretations. Italian longstanding artist Conrad Van Orton turns the title track ‘Archaism' into a true peak-hour beast.

Conrad is one of the few artists who effortlessly integrates the deeper and raw, experimental side of the genre while keeping its funkier, dancefloor-oriented origins. He is definitely a top-notch producer with several killer releases behind him and also a good selector, keeping the broader range of different sounds in his mixes as well. Conrad Van Orton lands with a solid materiacast!

Andrea Zanchetta aka CVO1 is an Italian dj, producer and sound engineer based in Rome and active on the European electronic scene for over twenty years now.

After releasing music on a number of well-known labels such as Key, Dynamic Reflection, PoleGroup and Developer's Modularz, he recently signed the excellent “Alive and Kicking” on Remco Beekwilder's Emerald label.

Conrad also has a relationship with Prima Materia, since he's been handling the mastering of our label's tracks from the outset at his lambda room studio, and even signed the track “Psyop Crossfire” on our first VA.

Needless to say, we're blessed to have him on this series!

Originally from Uruguay, Wiliam Arist debuted in ANAØH as a remixer in 2023. And a year later he is part of this great project, in which we deeply trust, which consists of 5 powerful tracks that are techno music in its purest state, going through different landscapes and textures designed from Latin America. These tracks have been remixed on the B side by artists whom we love and deeply respect for the work they are doing at present but also honoring the careers they have formed in recent years such as AINT.S, Alexander Johansson, Mattias Fridell, Conrad Van Orton, Uvall and OFF / GRID.

All this accompanied by an intro and an outro that seem like a piece of William Arist's soul and help to have a techno-conceptual release.

Conrad Van Orton is welcomed to the roster to begin 2025. The renowned producer from Rome has contributed to several top labels, including Developer's Modularz, Remco Beekwilder's EMERALD, Inland's Counterchange, Slam's Soma, and Oscar Mulero's PoleGroup.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track "Blossom" that has a throwback sound. Up-tempo and old-school, there's hints of Detriot from deep synth patterns, a shuffling groove, and for sure tribal influences, that's frantic at times, yet always satisfying.
