“last call for the republic” is a concept album built around the jazz idea of the contrafact—new songs written over the chord changes of a standard. I used Autumn Leaves as the foundation, creating 12 original tracks in all 12 keys.

The sound isn’t straight jazz. It leans into synthwave and disco, with touches of 80s Japanese City Pop—grooves built for late-night drives, studying, or zoning out. Every track is instrumental, layered with analog synths (Oberheim OB-X8, Moog Subsequent 37, SP-404, MPC One), guitars, and bass, recorded through a hybrid analog/digital setup in my home studio.
