I joined the November Challenge on Flat which requires participants to compose a haiku, a Japanese short poem with a quite annoying format and a song that reflects the former. I thought of this after a few sleepless nights.

"Amongst the thicket, romance has germinated, ready to blossom. "

And the melody of the song is inspired by pixel romance video games especially those with yanderes, get it? That kind of vibe. 

Some time after uploading it, a viola warrior called ScorchedInfern0 gave all his compliments, declared it a masterpiece (which I genuinely doubt) and was kind enough to promise to make an arrangement of it, which turned up a little later. What you're listening to now is the remastered version by the user, what should be called a real masterpiece. (Of course it's a better idea to upload theirs). Enjoy :)

Affi (stylized as "AFF!") is the new DJ and music producer in town.

AFF!, born on February 15, 2007, started his journey as a music producer and DJ at the age of 13. He began making music for fun, and soon, music became his life. At the age of 15, on February 15, 2023, he officially embarked on his music journey with the track "!DK."

Before delving into music, he struggled with depression, fear, and anxiety at a very young age. He overcame all of these challenges through music and decided to pursue it as a full-time career as a gesture of gratitude toward the art form.

To symbolize his life's story, he chose to wear a mask on his face, giving birth to the persona of AFF!

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Jerome and I was born in Germany near Cologne in 1984. Ive been living in Torremolinos / Spain on the Costa del Sol and in Germany aswell half a year...
I was introduced to music through my parents by Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Billy Idol, Simple Minds, Queen, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen. My brother, who is 7 years older, influenced me with rap and hip hop from the States like Tupac, DMX, Snoop, Mobb Deep, Wutang, Big Pun, Big L, Premier... and my older sister was more into it RnB like Foxy Brown, Avant, Blackstreet, Mary J. Blige, but also Madonna and Michael Jackson...
In the mid to late 90s I started developing my own taste in music like Nelly, Fabolous, Eminem, Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, Jagged Edge, and also Limp Bizkit & Linkin Park... but also German rap and trance music. At the beginning of 2000, at the age of 16, I was taken to the Love Parade in Berlin for the first time by my older friends. Since then there has only been (Uplifting & Progressive) Trance and ( Progressive) Techno when I went out partying. In 2003 I also started DJing myself and composing my own electronic songs with Fruity Loops 3. In 2005/2006 I even managed to make a name for myself in the scene. In 2013 I became self-employed and my musical career had to be limited.
But every now and then I caught myself discovering the music of the 80s and early 90s. So I found myself in Depeche Mode from time to time - but also "Talk Talk", especially the live album: Live at Montreux from 1986, accompanies me to this day. An absolute musical masterpiece.
Today I listen to pretty much everything - Post Malone, The Weeknd, Lil Peep, but also Coldplay and Justin Bieber are, for me, among the greatest artists on this planet of modern times. These are just a few examples because my taste in music goes far beyond that.

All of this has shaped me into who I am today. This entire mix of music lets me produce what you hear here today on my Soundcloud.
Since the end of July 2023 I have been working with FL Studio again. The last time I had contact with this program I think it was version 12 or 13 :D
A lot has happened and I have a lot to learn again. Mastering in particular is still difficult for me. But I see and hear progress.
