Icon Roller's mix is a fusion of his own productions and the Bristol producers involved in Education Sessions club night. Flowmont takes the reins next, guiding listeners on a deep and dark exploration through the mid to late 90s, spotlighting tracks by renowned artists like Digital and Photek. Bringing the journey to a climax is Kung Fu Foster, a seasoned resident known for transporting audiences back to the early '90s with his exhilarating selections. Each mix in this lineup captures the essence of different but crucial elements of the jungle/drum&bass scene through the ages, blending nostalgic nods with cutting-edge sounds to create an experience that resonates long after the music fades.

Dead inside, but still vibing – Wolke 8 erscheint nach längerer Pause wieder am Horizont und bringt ein musikalisches Quasi-Tiefdruckgebiet mit sich. Das Single-Duo „Nurneweile feat. COSIE“ (VÖ. 13.06.25) und „Ismiregal feat. COSIE” (VÖ. 20.06.25) lässt ein Sommergewitter entstehen, das es in sich hat. Innerhalb des Songpaares braucht es nicht viel, um aus nüchterner Existenz-Müdigkeit eine Maincharacter-Attitude mit zero F*cks to give zu zaubern.
Als leiser Vorbote schleicht sich zunächst „Nurneweile feat. COSIE“ heran, ein zeitgemäßer Seelentröster für kurze Durchschnauf-Momente im Alltags-Struggle. Sanfte Klaviertöne fallen wie Regentropfen auf eine schön kaputte Welt, emotional flatline als Dauerzustand trifft auf tausend kleine Träume, die ein kleines bisschen Freude suchen.
Eine Woche später erzählt „Ismiregal feat. COSIE“ die Story weiter und lässt die dunklen Schwaden aufbrechen. Wo zuvor gnadenlos süße sadgirl/sadboi-energy überwog, dominiert nun empowerment und ein Hauch von softem Nihilismus: „Nicht mein Herz gebrochen aber mein Vertraun‘ (mir egal)“. Der Track spielt gekonnt mit Pausen und Erwartungen, wird zu einem kontrastreichen Wechsel aus ruhigen und impulsiven Parts. Anfangs lösen sich treibende, harte Beats noch mit tanzenden Synthesizer-Solos ab, am Ende jedoch verschmelzen sie zu einem rhythmischen Ganzen, in das man sich vollkommen fallen lassen kann.
Für seine neuen Singles hat sich Wolke 8 genau die richtige Gaststimme gesichert. Die Hamburger Singer/Songwriterin COSIE liefert die notwendige zarte Wärme, die ihre eigenen Songs auszeichnet, gleichzeitig bietet der Song ihr den Raum, mit der vollen Kraft ihres Gesangs die selbstbewusste Message zu unterstreichen.
„Nurneweile feat. COSIE“ und „Ismiregal feat. COSIE“ erschaffen einen Mikrokosmos, in dem eine sorgengeplagte Generation sich wiederfinden und vielleicht sogar ein kleines bisschen Stärke finden kann.
