Le premier souvenir musical de Melvin Pot remonte à la découverte de « One More Time » des Daft Punk sur MTV, alors qu’il est âgé de 4 ans.

Son parcours musical amorcé, il grandit entre cartoon network, spyro le dragon et les funky cops. 

Il découvre à 8 ans les disques de Hip Hop de sa mère, qui s’étendent de Dr Dre, à Tupac en passant par Cypress Hill et Onyx, et se passionne pour le sample, reconnaissant parfois certains morceaux de funk ou de soul.

Vient ensuite l’air de la musique illimitée, découvrant sur internet des discographies entières, il se passionne de plus en plus pour la création musicale, mais ce n’est qu’en 2014 qu’il commence la production. 

Compositeur et curateur sonore dont la musique se déploie entre hip-hop, musiques électroniques et instrumentales. Guidé par une culture musicale qu’il cultive depuis l’enfance,

il explore les zones de rencontre entre styles, époques et énergies. Son approche est instinctive, ancrée dans l’écoute et la sensibilité. Dans ses productions comme dans ses sets, Melvin Pot cherche avant tout la connexion — ce moment où un sample old school se fond dans un beat électronique.

Animateur de deux émissions sur Radio Active, il transmet sa passion pour les musiques hybrides et les trajectoires singulières. 

Sa musique ne se contente pas de croiser les genres : elle raconte leur rencontre. 

Une écriture vivante, entre groove, textures et émotions.

Melvin Pot's first musical memory hits back from discovering Daft Punk's "One More Time" on MTV when he was 4 years old.

His musical journey began, growing up surrounded by Cartoon Network, Spyro the Dragon, and the Funky Cops.

At 8, he discovered his mother's hip-hop records, which ranged from Dr. Dre to Tupac, Cypress Hill, and Onyx, and developed a passion for sampling, sometimes recognizing certain funk or soul tracks.

Then came the era of unlimited music, discovering entire discographies online, he became increasingly passionate about musical creation, but it wasn't until 2014 that he began producing.

A composer and sound curator whose music spans hip-hop, electronic, and instrumental music. Guided by a musical culture he's cultivated since childhood,

he explores the intersections of styles, eras, and energies. His approach is instinctive, rooted in listening and sensitivity. In both his productions and his sets, Melvin Pot seeks connection above all—that moment when an old-school sample blends into an electronic beat.

Hosting two shows on Radio Active, he shares his passion for hybrid music and unique trajectories.

His music doesn't just cross genres: it tells the story of their encounter.

A lively style, blending groove, textures, and emotions.
