Dan Diker, head of the revamped Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, speaks with Eve Harow about the first Jerusalem conference for think tank and policy center representatives from 30 Mid East and African countries. Inspired by the Abraham Accords, they’re here to learn from and potentially partner with Israeli companies dealing with food, water and national security, environmental issues and counter terrorism concerns.  Eve is guiding them for two days now post-conference and enjoying teaching curious and interested Muslims, Christians and Jews who are amazed at what Israel has accomplished with few natural resources.
Seeing the country thru outsiders’ eyes was a balm to the craziness of the last few days of internal dissension.  Let the good times roll.   Have an enjoyable Pesach and revel in freedom.  It is fragile.

Fighting Terrorism while Protecting Human Rights: Interview with Fionnuala Ní Aoláin

In a military operation many are comparing to the "Raid on Entebbe," the IDF, counter terrorism police, and the Israel Security Agency, rescued four Israeli hostages from the clutches of Hamas in Gaza. All were being held in "civilian" homes in central Gaza. On today's Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten discusses the operation which lifted the spirits of a nation. Unfortunately it was with mixed emotions as a member of the elite Yamam force, which led the raid, Commander Arnon Zamora, HY"D,  was killed during the hostage extraction.

This episode,The Road to Qamishli: Chasing Law in a Time of Counter-Terrorism features Professor Fionnuala Ni Aolain, former UN Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights (2017-2023) sharing excerpts from her forthcoming book that draws on her work during her UN mandate, with a particular focus on the conflict in Syria, and the counter-terrorism practices of state and non-state actors in North East Syria and their human rights consequences. The presentation will particularly draw on her visit to north east Syria in the Summer of 2023 and her observations and experiences in this conflict zone.
