Chrono Trigger - To Far Away Times (Piano)

This track plays at the very end of Chapter 5, after Noelle’s uncontrolled ice magic has frozen the entire world into a silent, glittering tomb. The music feels like the last breath of a dying universe—cold, slow, almost whisper-quiet. A distant, icy drone hums beneath faint, music-box-like notes that sound fragile enough to shatter. Each melody carries a sense of guilt and inevitability, as if the song itself knows that the world is ending and cannot stop it.

As the layers build, the track never becomes loud—just heavier. Frosty chimes echo through empty space, like memories cracking apart. A faint heartbeat-like pulse appears and fades, mirroring the last traces of life Noelle can still feel around her.

Near the end, the music thins out until only a single, trembling note remains, suspended in endless stillness—reflecting Noelle’s new reality: a world completely frozen, every soul gone, and she herself left painfully, unbearably alive.

This is the sound of regret echoing in a frozen universe.
