first live show of many. much love to all my incredible friends who came to support.

we recorded two sets on friday; this is the first one. the lighting on the visual is a bit wonky at the beginning since I wanted to capture the sunset but it gets fixed around the 9 minute mark. played a lot of unreleased music in here as well.

the second r&b mix we recorded will be uploaded next week.

went through the motions with this week's mix. this BPM range in the 85-100s is a bit interesting because you get plenty of spaced out, late-night r&b tracks but you also get a good mix of faster, more rap or pop-heavy tracks too. whatever your taste may be, i'm very satisfied with how this week's mix came out and i hope you are too. please enjoy.

the mix name comes from the last track of the mix, one of the first songs of this darker, nighttime type of r&b that i had ever heard, by @yo-trane. still one of my favorites.

on march 14, 2024, i made the decision to start my own radio show. it was an idea that i had for a while which went through multiple changes before actually existing, including changing the idea to being a podcast, doing only live events with no radio mixes, and almost scrapping the idea completely.

on march 15, 2024, a day late that i initially intended, i uploaded the first culdesac mix onto this channel (https://soundcloud.com/ontheculdesac/episode1). now we are one year deep and we've had some amazing guest DJs on, we've done 3 live events, and have our own mixtape series with some of our favorite artists.
