🎭 The last time I did any singing in character for a musical, was for one of my roles in ‘Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story’ at The Strand (now  re-named The Novello) Theatre in London’s west end. There, for around 8 shows a week for 6 years I performed a comedic version of The Star Spangled Banner to an audience that often included aghast Americans! (I’m SORRRRY!). Switching from full-time stage acting to voice acting after leaving UK has been great for a tonne of reasons, but the magick of theatre and the energy of a live audience is pretty tough to beat!  

So, when I logged into a message asking if I was available and interested in voicing a CHARACTER PART in a MUSICAL TRACK… the opening number for a concept musical album… I was EXCITED! … When I learned the character was a wily Celtic crone with dubious intentions (a Scottish accent being the favoured option and maybe could I try to get a cackle in too…?)… and the musical a dark gothic horror based on the D&G game classic ‘Curse of Strahd’ … I WAS IN!!! 🤩🤩🤩

I LOVE working with multi-talented people and Liam Handley is actually phenomenal. Both his book and music are superb! Plus… ('though he’s too humble to admit this) he’s a brilliant musical actor whose voice and delivery captivates as the hero - Ismark Kolyanovich.
