Cystic Fibrosis was a terminal illness and survival rates were poor and did not extend much past late teens at best. Things have changed dramatically thanks to some amazing work and advances by a number of groups, but above all, not just the advances but the mutual teamwork, learning, and cooperation have changed the trajectory of this disease. In fact, there were some centers of excellence that demonstrated in their data a significantly better survival rate than other institutions even though the basic approach and medical treatments were similar. In the true spirit of medicine and patient focus these teams shared and worked together raising the outcomes for everyone. It is this spirit of cooperation that we explore with Dr. Lassiter. Shared data, shared information, shared knowledge and collaborative teamwork all make the difference in delivering pediatric care to everyone, breaking the economic and cost barriers and opening the door to more cost-effective solutions more widely accessible, especially to the underserved.

Tracy is a 36 year old living with Cystic Fibrosis.   She's been married for 12 years and has struggled with infertility, which led to the adoption of her daughter (her biological niece) and a shocking pregnancy after 11 years of trying.  She's excited to share stories of her life including the medical breakthrough that changed everything.

Steven Vitali is an award-winning, artist, and composer. In 2016 he moved to Los Angeles to further develop his career as a score composer. 

Famous for his profoundly inspiring tunes and dramatic compositions. In terms of arranging music and creating his trademark theme music, he is credited by critics with having established a very high bar. Vitali has won several accolades all around the world for his work in music, film scoring, film directing, and screenwriting.

Steven Vitali is of French, Italian, and, one-quarter German descent. This multidimensional instrumentalist was born June 21st, on the first day of summer and Father's Day, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Steven Vitali is extremely proud of his French Canadian, American, and Italian heritage and credits both the Italian cities of Fano and Pesaro with greatly inspiring him as a composer. 

Steven first played music in the orchestra at St. Timothy's Catholic School. At an early age, Steven enjoyed participating in public speaking and classroom school drama. He particularly remembers playing the character role of a pizza maker where he performed in the library and sang for family, friends, and teachers. And it was here at St. Timothy's a school that Steven got a taste of acting and received his first taste of orchestral arranging.

Steven Vitali was initially musically inspired after seeing an orchestra perform the "Nutcracker Suite" ballet, cementing his desire to compose his own music. Although Steven Vitali was mainly self-taught as a composer, his musical training began in grade school, where he played the trumpet and French horn. He took the principles he learned a step further and knew that songwriting was what he wanted to do.

Steven Vitali's music has been represented by such companies as, Sony Music, Capitol Records, Warner/Chappell Music Canada, Warner Bros., and Koch. 

In 1994 Steven Vitali was inducted into the Canadian Snowbirds Hall of Fame as an Honorary Snowbird in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the Canadian Snowbirds flying team.

Vitali's masterful music is built on a romantic structure. It is all at once lyrical, rhythmical, and harmonically opulent. Vitali is a composer, arranger, and performer, equally at home writing for radio, the concert hall, and, for film and television.

As a young boy, Steven received his first piano as a gift from a generous neighbor, who perhaps intuitively recognized his musical desires. Thus began his inspirational journey of musical expression. In Steven Vitali's quest to find new sounds he truly relates and refers to the statement made by the late, John Cage who wrote, "My favorite music is the music I haven't yet heard. I don't hear the music I write: I write in order to hear the music I haven't yet heard."

Steven's musical arrangements convey imagination and emotion which evoke a sense of passion, excitement, and romanticism. He is able to integrate this into his personal style in a remarkable manner. Vitali's music is a unique blend of virtually all styles, often merging popular and classical styles.

If Steven was living in Another time, his compositions could be compared to Mozart or Vivaldi. The seemingly complex yet delicate tapestry Vitali weaves transports listeners to a safe and romantic place. A place where life is completely beautiful. Full of grace, light, and harmony. Where the listener can feel Vitali’s inspiration for a world carefree. Where there are no borders,
biases, and strife. Where one can feel anxiety and worry melt away. A vacation into sheer perfection, interpreted by each individual regardless of nationality or spoken language.

Vitali is a composer whose music will last and appeal for generations. Just as the classic great composers before him, the genius of his musical gifts will last forever.
