Spontaneously recorded last night as I was playing through a selection of my vinyl collection. Get ready for some 97 pressure (which is a bit of a lie since the closing tune is from 2005).

This Tape Will Self Destruct (Drum & Bass on vinyl)

The dark master Hoji returns with four tracks on Ornament170.
You’re invited to embark on a journey across the shifting edges — where primal drum & bass meets deep techno at 170 beats per minute.

The path opens with 'Dystopia' — drawing you into a lifeless expanse filled with organic shadows that follow you to the very threshold of 'Visible Edge'.
That edge reveals the true depth and power of the drums as they collide with anxious, distant signals.
Beyond that point lies 'Sairen' — a deep, measured piece guided by the echo of underwater sirens, ready to pull you into their embrace forever.
The final step is 'Tourmaline' — the last key of this journey, a trace that will remain with you always.

This mix was originally scheduled to be released on Halloween 2023 but I missed the deadline and it went back on the shelf.  So.... two years later I've resurrected this concept with one additional track and finally finished it on time!!  The first half is a mix of Drum n' Bass/Halftime/Jungle with sinister selections and samples.  The second half turns to the darkside with a mix of old and new '93 jungle styles.  Hopefully this gets you in the mood for the season.  Enjoy!

Hi, i'm Dave, from Coventry, and i started djing way back in 1990, while still at school, inspired by legends Sasha and Carl Cox after listening to sets, given to me from older friends!

 I spent a lot of my time during the early 90's at the legendary club Eclipse, in Coventry, where i met lots of fantastic people including some of the finest dj's around at the time, doing a couple of sets in Marco Polo, Birmingham. I also ventured across the midlands, clubbing wise, to places including Shelleys, Institute and Coast 2 Coast.

 After 5 years, i fell out of love with the scene, seeing as it was changing and not to my liking, to be honest and in 1995 i gave up raving and djing. Kept my vinyl, though, just in case!!

 Got back into it in 2006 after listening to online radio playing a lot of oldskool, and thought i'd give it another go. Not had the confidence to play out again, since but you never know.....
