Girlfriend Records was created by producer Eric Sferro and is owned by producer John Sagouspe (Johnatron) as an attempt to pay homage to the faded images and analog sounds of his childhood that continue to inspire his creations today. Deeply rooted in the mystique of the 1980's, Girlfriend Records catalog sees electro, funk, disco, and house knocking knees with college rock, shoegaze, post-punk, new wave, and hip-hop to create musical hybrids that are comfortingly nostalgic, yet unmistakably modern.
